John and his guys are great for honest quality repairs and advice. My family has been going to Real-Pro auto for years not sure how many but it has been a long time. I'm a former semi trailer mechanic and know what it takes to run a quality shop as I ran Great Dane service shop in town. I have been fighting stage 4 kidney cancer for 14 years this December and John and the guys are beyond words the help and prayers they've shown us. It's amazing in today's world they still are fueled by the old adage that quality work and customers satisfaction is number 1. They definitely go above and beyond for the customer to help provide a cost friendly as possible price for the repairs needed and give advice on future repairs they see upcoming. They always make sure we have a safe reliable vehicle for our many trips to Ann Arbor for my Dr appointments at the cancer center. I highly recommend this place and John is a gem of a owner from days gone by bringing us quality timely fairly priced service into today's world. Keep up the great things you do John you guys Rock and don't know how valuable you guys are to us. Thank you again brother. God bless you guys Big Steve Griegelis

I was referred to Real Pro because of their AAA partnership, and the location on Eastern in Grand Rapids is very close to my home. From the beginning, the customer service was outstanding. It was a holiday weekend when my car was dropped off, and their lot was very busy, but they still communicated often, presented options, and the diagnostic fee was very reasonable (less than $50). Though my car had severe motor damage and was not reparable, they allowed me to arrange a tow at my convenience and were not rushing me off. After the fact, the owner, John, followed up with a personal message, checking in on my experience, and offered to help with an inspection on a new/used car when I am ready to get a replacement. I highly recommend Real Pro Auto Service!

I had my car towed to Real Pro Auto versus the original shop I usually go to because AAA recommended it. When my car arrived and I chatted with the employees, I left feeling ok However, at no point in my dropping off the keys and leaving was I notified that the diagnostic fee was $50 (I was surprised with that info when I returned to have the car towed). I decided to tow my car to a junkyard but had purchased a new car so I needed to have my license plate removed. The nails were rusty, so the guys couldn't remove it with a regular screwdriver. I was then informed that they would charge $25 to remove it with a power drill. I was honestly shocked because that would have literally been a 1-minute operation and at this point I would have been in $75 for a vehicle inspection and license plate removal. Throughout my interactions the guys were quite brusqe and refused to go out of their way to be helpful. As a potential new customer, I was really frustrated and disappointed by the lack of customer service and clarity that was exhibited by this team. So unfortunate.

The crew here is great. They make sure the customer is satisfied and are honest about repairs. They also pay attention to detail in repair requests, for example if you want a specific part or certain brand.

I used to bring my vehicles to the dealership and various other shops and was always being charged excessively for things that didn't even need to be done. Have now been taking all my personal vehicles, as well as business vehicles, to Real Pro for almost 10 years and I have always received trustworthy and honest service for a great price. Won't ever take my vehicles elsewhere.
