Have to watch over work being done. Like to create extra labor for themselves. Know what's broken then get estimate and prepare for work done past time estimated.

Aug 10, 2017
Brought a company truck in to get the front brakes done. Called before driving truck across the valley to them to verify that they had parts available. Jerry said "it wouldn't be a problem, we work on these all the time". Calls me back to inform me that the parts aren't available, it'll be 5-7 days to get them in. I am then informed that the rotors are warped and grooved, and will also need replaced, bringing my total (for a front brake job) to $1,175. I pick my vehicle up, go to Oregon Light Truck and RV. They were booked out, but they inspected my vehicle and inform me that the rotors are not warped, nor are they grooved. They sell me the parts for $132, and we're doing the job in house. Final thoughts: These guys are con artists and a total rip-off. Go to them if you don't really care how much money you're spending, or if you just genuinely enjoy getting lied to and bent over. ***UPDATE*** A gentleman named Vernon called me to follow up on my experience. He was nothing short of nice and pleasant. I felt good about the level of care that he expressed and genuinely believe him when he says that he will investigate the issue. Thanks for the follow up call Vernon. If I ever decide to give DSU another chance at my business, it will ONLY be because of you.

Placed me in line for service right away. Understood what my issues were. We had some issues with my after market warranty, do this delayed the ordering of parts. Corrected the issues and the cost was very close to the estimate and all seems to be operating correctly. I did confer with the supervisor about better communication. He was very open to my opinion and said he would apply my suggestion. I will become a new local customer.

Friday Nov 3/17 our motor home transmission quit outside Ashland OR. Stranded on I-5 we first looked for a tow company. found Twedell's they were excellent both in service and price. Then we started looking for a repair place. We found DSU Peterbuilt, Kevin stated they were open until midnight and open Sat along with being able to help even though we were a gas motorhome. When we arrived they said they were to busy and will look at it on Sat AM. We drove back early Sat AM and were told there was only a small crew on staff, they did check it out and told us what we already knew, the transmission was toast. They said they would start trying to find a rebuilt. We knew based on the age of our unit that would not work. On Monday went back and told still looking. Went back at 12 noon stated the trans had to be removed and fixed locally. The parts man Dave did a great job to find a repair shop, but the service desk stated they were too busy to work on it Monday and when I said if it was out and came back Friday stated would not guarantee they could do it then. So, we arranged for it to be towed to Dusty's transmission repair. This was set up by the Parts person. Then at 7 PM Donald from DSU phoned and said there was a problem, we owed them 1 hour labour for looking at. We were not pleased but had to pay. From the level of service they should have not pushed for from what I say 20 minutes to tell us something we knew. They knew we were stranded with 2 dogs, and approx. $200 per day while we wait. Overall showed no urgency or empathy and never agreed to take our repair. UPDATE.. The manager called today, Nov. 9 and apologized for what happened. We were very impressed with what he said and he advised our credit card would be refunded the 1 hr labor we were charged. Very impressed, he advised he talked with his staff and was very sincere.
