Chris Wood has ZERO integrity. He and I made a deal for me to buy a car from him. I called him on a Thursday evening, told him we would go to the bank to get the loan first thing Friday morning and be down to pay him immediately after. We were at the bank when it opened, got the loan and called him to get the vin so we could get insurance to make the transfer. He never answered his phone. I incorrectly assumed perhaps he was busy in the shop, so we drove down to give him the money and make the transfer, figuring we'd call the insurance company from his shop. We get there at 11:10 AM, the soonest we could get there, only to find out he had sold the car out from under us. No phone call, no consideration, just sold it. He didn't even offer to sell it to us for the price the buyer paid, which we would have been happy to do. Instead, his smug wife told us, "First come, first serve!" Well, that's all well and good, but when I told him I wanted it and our plan to get the loan and be right there, he said "Fine, I'll be here from 8-5 all day." I had no idea there was a line or anyone else even interested in the car, otherwise, we would have gave him a deposit, which he never requested. This guy has zero integrity and his word is garbage. He has no consideration for anyone else's time whatsoever. So now I have a loan, but no car, thanks to this joker!
