DO NOT TAKE YOUR TRUCK HERE FOR REPAIR!! I brought my vehicle here on 2 occasions. The first ocassion was for an air leak and to take off the speed limiter. They did take off the speed limiter, but they charged me $545 for the air leak. After parking my truck overnite, I still had the air leak and had to let my air pressure build from 30 psi back up to 100. I must do this any time I parked over 2hrs. But I decided to give them another chance. This time I needed a broken A/C line replaced, and I needed my cruise control to work while parked so that I could idle the truck at 1200 rpm while unloading a pneumatic trailer. This is not a "peculiar" request as this is how cement, frac sand, and commodities such as flour and sugar are unloaded in bulk.( PTO operation) After having my truck for 4 days, and being charged that magic number of $545. , nothing was repaired on my truck. I had been following up with the shop while the vehicle was there. Around the 2nd day I was told the A/C was repaired and that portion of the bill would be $600 - $700. The cruise control/idle situation was going to be a little longer. The next day they promised me that in 2 more hrs. they would be finished. However, later they explained that only the dealer could fix the cruise/idle. When I picked up the truck and paid, I was surprised when the bill was only $545. What had happened to the $600-$700 repair for the A/C. WELL, THEY NEVER FIXED IT! They didn't charge me for it, but fact remains my truck was at there shop "being worked on" for 4 days while they diagnosed that they COULDN'T fix my truck and charged me $545. Moreover the repair they could fix, (A/C), they didn't fix or attempt to fix even after telling me the repair had been completed. Don't be duped by the "kind friendly avuncular" behavior of the staff. They will act as though their shop is competent and that whatever repair you need, they have lots of experience doing that repair. I'm now not convinced that's the situation. BOTTOM LINE. FIND ANOTHER SHOP!

Happy with the repairs they did, when 3 of my trucks went down right after another. I was afraid of the timing that it would take for the repairs. 2 of the truck were ready the next day. (1 had issues with fuel pump and egr, the other was a computer). They had the third was fixed the following day, but it needed wheel barrings, brakes, and clutch. Overall the price was very fair, especially compared to what we were quoted at Rush! Ouch! They will continue get my business that for sure! Thanks Jack for all your help, you were great!

J & R Truck Service offers great service. They are honest, friendly and quick. Every time I have had a problem it has been fixed quickly. Roy is very knowledgeable and has saved me lots of money throughout the years. I wouldn't take my vehicles anywhere else.

Avoid this ripoff shop at all cost or you will pay for it. Jack the owner will turn on the Texas charm when you walk in the door, telling you its no problem to fix anything, but look out when it's time to leave and you get your final bill. You will be unfairly charged, never given any estimates, not notified of work being done, then over charged big time for it, and threatened if you don't pay. Worse, some of the work they charged for was not done at all, like an oil change where clearly no fresh oil was used. And when you bring a working engine in and when you get back it doesn't run at all? You have to be a special kind mechanic to break it rather than fix it... but hey you do get the privilege of over paying for it. The work that was done sucked but then I did enjoy when Jack without the Texas charmed blamed the equipment for his lack of knowledge on how to repair it. These guys talk a good game but shouldn't be working on anything that requires thought or skill. A perfectly working generator wouldn't run at all after my visit to this hell hole; it cost another 660 to fix what they broke at a reputable shop. Do yourself a favor and avoid these pack of thieves or you will pay for it. I have reported them to the BBB, Atty General, Consumer Protection Agency, AAA, Good Sam Club and I will let every Motorhome and truck club I know to avoid them. Do yourself the favor and find another shop, or I have a good attorney I can recommend.
