I purchased a ford power stroke from austin fuel injectors and could not be more dissatisfied. Previously, I had had them inspect two injectors before and though I would be in good hands because I was buying a truck from a company that specializes in fuel injectors and turbos. I was wrong!
I was told the truck had new brakes from top to bottom. A fresh turbo rebuild and rebuild fuel injectors. I did have a little concern about the transmission because I could feel a shake and saw a bit of red fluid under the truck and asked them to have it check out prior to me purchasing and they agreed to take it to a shop that they work with regularly and have it inspected.
I was told the shake was the tires and the leak was minor and nothing to work about just a gasket.
I ended purchasing the truck and immediately had to take back the same day because the amount of out that was leaking from the turbo. Multiple times the truck went back because work that was performed was with not performed properly or the parts were bad. It was very inconvenient to have to keep going back multiple times and their was still a minor leak in the valley of the motor even after the last visit.
After I put a few hundred miles on it and encountered the first bit of rain. It is when I noticed the truck was very dangerous to stop and would pull. Attached you will find photos to show the the brakes that are all allegedly new.
Two of the calipers had to be replaced. One of the pistons was broken and the other caliper piston was practically seized. How did they put new pads in with a broken piston and why?
During this time when the truck was in air the source of trans mission leak was apparent and it was not a seal as they had claimed. Some one had stripped the transmissions case by overtighing the return line to the transmission cooler. The transmission ended up having to be removed a heli coil had to be installed because b and m trans was not able to locate a transmission case and their fix may only be temporary.
B and m transmission informed that that shake was not a result of the trans but motor related. The mystery shake was found! Their was a bad injector! Also one of the plugs that goes into fuel injector was broken and Jammed into the injector causing issues and making the truck have a shake. During this time a vent hose of some sorts was in stalled with no clamps or zips ties cause lots of oil to be sprayed by the turbo. All new fuel injectors ended up being installed, new valve cover gaskets and wireing harness for the injectors.
I called many times to to discus this matter with Josh and or the owner but Josh would not give me the time of day and told me he would have the owner call me but that never happend.
