UPDATE: HAYDEN LIED TO ME telling me my Lift Fuel pump was CRACKED. This is not true! HE LIED! Extreme Diesel wanted "Around $1,000" (Hayden couldn't give me an exact price) to replace my fuel pump. Another mechanic fixed my problem that was causing my fuel leak for $80, which was less than the $90 I paid to get my incoherent estimate of about $1,000 from Extreme Diesel. The mechanic I used is named Ryan Howa and you can find him in the services section of KSL Classifieds. He is mobile and will come to you. I will try to re-attach the poorly written estimate that they gave me as I attached it before but it isn't on here.
AVOID THIS SHOP! They put my VIN down wrong on my safety inspection to register my RV. After spending A LOT of time at the DMV, I was told I couldn't register my RV because the VIN on the Safety Inspection was wrong. I had to go back to this shop to get the correct paperwork. They did not have my VIN even though my vehicle was there the week before so they had to look at my insurance registration to correct their mistake and give me new safety inspection paperwork. I asked Hayden if he would do anything for me as that was most of an afternoon in the DMV and driving back this shop which was all a waste of my time because of their laziness and mistake. You can hear his response in the video of "Not really...". This is their attitude there.
If you want to be lied to, overcharged and treated condescendingly this is the shop for you. If not, go somewhere else. Extreme Diesel in Lehi, UT is overpriced, has bad communication, and they are lazy and rude. They made an error on my inspection paperwork requiring me to make two trips to the DMV.
I first found this shop through Google Search and called them. I spoke with Hayden and explained what my problem was with my RV. He told me if I got it over that afternoon they could inspect it that day. They didn't inspect it for 2 days after I dropped it off then Hayden gave me a ballpark estimate of $1,000. He was very general on the phone and wouldn't give me a specific estimate for the repair just kept giving me the ballpark number of $1,000.
Since the repair is a common issue on my model RV I had already researched what other owners were paying for this repair and the highest I found others paying was $800 with some paying $400-$500. I decided the repair was overpriced and I picked up my RV without doing the repair.
After leaving I noticed I never got a written estimate. I called and left a message with Hayden that I would like a written estimate. He never returned my call.
A few weeks later, I took the safety inspection paperwork that I paid them to perform to the DMV to register my RV. After spending hours at the DMV I was told I could not register my vehicle because the VIN the paperwork from extreme diesel was entered wrong.
I had to go back to Extreme Diesel and I asked for my estimate which they at first said they didn't have and then produced the most poorly written estimate I have ever seen. They gave me a new inspection certificate with the corrected VIN but we're unwilling to compensate me for the mistake or my wasted time/trip to the DMV. Hayden was very rude to me saying it was another employee's fault. They then blamed the phone system for not returning my call.
The estimate they did give me is very poorly written without my vehicle information, part names, numbers or brands. I posted a picture of it on here. I also posted a video of their poor customer service.
Hayden claimed they had done work to access the pump which was a lie as I had done that work myself previous to bringing in the vehicle. I informed Hayden that I was going to change the gasket for the pump as that usually fixes these issues. He told me that my pump is cracked and so we will see if that is true and I will update this review with the results. UPDATE: Fuel Pump was NOT CRACKED! Hayden lied.
I will avoid this shop and would advise others to do the same.
I posted a photo of the ridiculously lazy estimate I was given. No vehicle, part, or procedure information.
