Company has terrible customer service, employees are poorly trained and owner was extremely rude when I would inquire about the progress of my engine build. Poor management within this company and had numerous problems with parts during the build process. My only hope is that the engine holds up or at least the company holds up to their 5yr hassle free warranty that they rave so highly about.

Buyer Beware. I have tried for months for the owner or someone to honor the warranty. I have a defective block , i have paid out of my own pocket to try to fix the oil leak and the company refuses to honor their warranty . VERY Bad Business. A warranty is only as good as the company or person behind the warranty. Good Marketing , BAD BUSINESS. I have tried for months to get them to send someone to look at the problem with no response. NOW it is time to take legal action!

They were very helpful and knowledgeable. Service was fast and product was ready to run. Definitely recommend for anyone who needs a replacement engine.

Do not use Barnette's. I made a big, expensive mistake. My rebuilt engine from Barnette's lasted 19,000 miles before blowing a head gasket. Even though the problem happened in the 4th year of the 5-year warranty time frame, the warranty was worth nothing. I got a poor product with a meaningless warranty. I wish I would have read some of these reviews before buying my engine. There is a pattern. If the engine has a problem (and apparently several do), don't expect to get anything from the warranty. I wonder what percentage of the warranty claims actually get executed.
