Good. Place gets very busy so they could use more people but the staff are pretty knowledgeable for the most part.

My motorhome's ABS light was continually on, so I took it to Freighliner to have the problem corrected. After 4 days they got back to me to let me know I needed the ABS module replaced - ($1300 parts + $960 labor). (I was able to buy the part myself for $900) They also did a "courtesy" inspection and informed me I needed a new exhaust manifold ($900 parts + $3,800 labor), a power steering hose ($168 parts +$480 labor) and an air filter ($60 parts + $160 labor). On top of that they billed me $192 for doing the "courtesy" inspection. A grand total of $4672 for just labor. I'm no mechanic but those prices seemed way high to me, so I called Cummins to see what they would charge for the same repairs. Cummins assured me they could do everything for under $2000 for parts and labor. I declined all service from Freightliner except the ABS module (since they already had 3+ hours of labor into the job). After installing the new ABS module Freightliner called me to let me know the ABS light was still on, and they needed me to authorize even more labor time for the repair. At that point I told them to just stop what they were doing. I picked up the coach and took it to Cummins, who did a great job completing all of the service in one day. Cummins charged me only $917 for the labor Freighliner had estimated at $4692. My total bill from Cummins came to $1700 for parts and labor, including diagnosing that Freightliner had wired the new ABS unit incorrectly!

The service department is horrible. I brought my truck in for a coolant problem. They did the diagnosis and said that it had a bad head gasket. I agreed to the price and time frame. Once they started working on it I received another phone call from the service writer. At this time he said that they found the head off of the truck warped. I asked what my options were. The only option they offered was a remanufactured head for 4000.00 on top of what was already quoted. I asked them to just have my head machined. They said that wasn't an option. When I asked why the service writer just said well you can't. I then found a used head and had it sent to them. They looked at it and said it needed to be cleaned. I did the and brought it back. Once they put the head back on they said that it wouldn't start because the head I brought had valves that wouldn't open. I then asked what my options were. The service writer again offered the 4000.00 remanufactured head. I told him no wasn't going to happen. He then said I could have my head that cane off of the truck machined. At this point I lost it. I said some things I'm not very proud of. I then tried to call the service manager and left him a really nasty voicemail. I finally got ahold of him the following day. I started by apologizing for what I said the day before. He advised that the tolerances for machining the head on that motor was only 4000's of an inch. I asked what mine was at and he said he never checked. The following day he was very rude to me and told me that he was requiring me to put a 5000.00 deposit before they would go any further on it. Once the head was machined I was going to have to pick up the tab making my bill over 8000.00. I made the deposit and picked up my head to have it machined. I brought it to the machine shop and when I arrived the machinest said he needed to talk to me. He said that he got a call from the service manager and that he looked up the head and found them to be 15000's of an inch instead of 4000's. And that the frieghtliner service manager said he was going to pick up the tab for taking the head off and putting it back on the second time. Never once did anyone admit they messed up to me. Never did they shake my hand and say they were sorry. They didn't deliver it the day they said they would. I'm in the towing industry and sometimes have to bring trucks in there or drop them off. Most of the staff is rude to me and gets pissy with me really easy. I will do my best to never spend a dime in there unless it's absolutely necessary. They will never work on any of my trucks ever again. I would be very cautious dealing with this place.
