I have been using Jeff Seeboth (the owner) as my mechanic for five years and the service and quality has just been going steep downhill over the last year, so will warn everybody from picking this mechanic to do any repair jobs. I used to use this place to get to get checks done of cars that I was going to buy and other smaller repair jobs and I trusted them to give me a fair assessment of the situation, that was what I liked about the place.
Last summer I needed a repair job done on my brakes and I took contact with them. I setup an appointment and then when I came in they did not have time to look at it, so wasted a whole morning. 3rd try I succeeded having them looking at the brakes , they did not have the tools they needed to repair my types of brakes, and then it basically took 2 months before they were able to borrow the tools they needed to get the repair done, I at least called them 10 times over those two months to get the job scheduled, felt like it was baby-sitting them all way through, they never called back. The job finally got done, but it was annoying process. This event should have been my last visit to this place.
This winter, we had an engine light coming on my other car, so I went into them to have assessed what was wrong with it, which was a BIG MISTAKE!!! to have them looking at it. The first schedule, they did not had time to look at it, even though that I had made an appointment with them. Second visit came up and I specifically asked them to give me an assessment of the car and to tell me what was wrong with it, because I was thinking of trading it in at this stage. I had noticed some oil leak, they went over the car, probably spend less than 5 minutes on this, and detected that there was an oil leak, yah like I did not know that, but I asked them is there anything else wrong with it, no it will be good to go for you once that is fixed. We paid $ 1000 dollars for the fix and literally went 100 miles down the road and the car broke down and had to be towed to the nearest body shop. They ruined our ski vacation completely. It turned out that they had not done the repair correct in the first place, took them several weeks to admit this and have repaired, then they called me and said everything was good to go, and here comes the best part, we came down to pick up the car and we paid another $300 for a spare part they should have used in the first place and that they claimed caused the issue in the first place, and we could not literally back it out of their parking lot, we did not get anywhere and wasted an entire morning. After another week they figured out that the transmission had set out and needed to be replaced, and of course they claimed that it had nothing to do with their repair in the first place even though they had the transmission out several times for their engine repair. I took it to a dealer and they confirmed that they had not sealed the oil leak correctly and not engaged the transmission correctly which led to transmission failure.
Long story short they ended up costing me several thousands of dollars and many lost hours and much frustration. These guys are amateurs and will cause you a lot of frustration down the road, so do not go there, they are not trustworthy anymore. I would even go there for an oil change. I was comparing my review to the review from Josh Wasserman, and I was laughing as I could recognize many of the same things, of excuses of big repairs, never calling back. I guess a learning is to read the negative reviews as they are normally more trustworthy.
