I wish I could give them a zero rating because these guys are horrible. I took my car there to have the clutch replaced and it was done in a timely manner, but when I got my car back the check engine light came on and my car had trouble accelerating. I took it back to the shop and the mechanic looked at it and stated that what he did couldn't have caused the check engine light to come on since he only unplugged three connections. I told him that the light was not on when I brought it in. To which he continued to deny causing the light to come on. After all was said and done they said they could not fix the problem they caused and left my car outside with the doors unlocked. I found this out by coming by the shop after hours to check on my car and also discovered they had stolen something from my car. The receptionist stated that I shouldn't have things that I don't want stolen in my car when I bring it to get serviced. Which is a load of bull. Don't waste your time coming here these guys are liars and thieves. On another note, disregard those reviews that are all within the same time period because they are either written by family members or workers at the shop. Update: I found out that they disassembled the rack and pinion, which would need a proprietary code once reassembled. The only place that would have the code is the dealership.

Recently had two vehicles in need of repair. I was certainly surprised when I received a phone call from Ed’s and was told my issue was part of a recall and I should take it to the dealer. No charge. That made my decision super easy when it was time for the second vehicle. The staff is very friendly, accommodating and explained the situation in a way that made it all easy to understand. Thanks again for taking great care of our vehicles. Josh

Great place to bring your vehicle! Very honest and reliable staff-from the owners to the mechanics. Everyone knows having transmission issues results in a high bill, but I never felt like they were taking advantage of me or tacking on unnecessary fees. I would recommend to anyone Ed’s Transmissions, there are a lot of shady companies, but Ed’s is NOT one of them.

Great people first and foremost. I have been taking my vehicles to Ed’s since 1994. I currently live in Rockwall and will make the drive to ensure good honest work done. Not very often you can trust mechanics these days, but Casey, his dad Calvin and their crew deliver a great experience every time. If you need ANY work done , give them a call.

Hard to beat a third generation, family ran business. The father and son, have expanded a great transmission shop into a one stop auto repair shop. Took my car in for a transmission job and they did a great job. Fair, honest, and look you in the eye owners who care about their customers. Ed's is the only place to take your vehicle!
