For most people, buying a home is the largest financial transaction they will ever undertake. Spending so much money at one time can be daunting, even if things go completely as planned. My mother and I lived in our Mill Woods home for 18 years. We loved the house, the neighbourhood and especially our neighbours. We would have liked to stay forever. But Mum’s arthritis and my diagnosis with a spinal condition meant that our 5-level split was becoming more and more difficult to manage. We made several renovations to the house to make the stairs less of a problem, but eventually we knew it was time to move to a bungalow. Unfortunately, the further south you go in Edmonton, the fewer bungalows there are. Without Norm, I don’t think we ever would have found our new home or sold our old home so quickly. He just didn’t give up. The sale of our old home nearly went off the rails when the purchaser failed to qualify for financing and there was more stress when other members of the purchaser’s family had to be added to the transaction in order for the sale to proceed. We had already fallen in love with our new property and for a while I had visions of having to support two houses while waiting for the old one to sell. Right in the middle of things, we had a death in the family and then another family member had emergency surgery and lost their livelihood. I have never experienced stress like that and I don’t think we could have held things together without Norm’s help. Any time I emailed him, Norm responded almost immediately. I know he has a lot of clients but he was always there when we had a question or needed advice. I was ready to give up a couple of times but Norm kept saying “It isn’t over until it’s over”. I have jokingly told people that I’m never moving again. My next move, I said, will be when my room is ready at the nursing home. But if another move is in our future, Norm will be the one I call. Mum and I trusted him to come through and he did. I don’t know what we would have done without him.

We’ve recently worked with Norm with selling our Edmonton home. He’s professional, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. We were confident with his research we were priced correctly and would successfully sell in this market. We worked with Rachelle as well, she’s lovely and helpful. We would highly recommend them for anyone looking to buy or sell in Edmonton. Thank u!!

Not impressed at all with Norm. He will make sure he gives you the lowest possible price for your home, that way he'll make sure he gets his commission. A few days after putting my house on the market he was already sending me another market analysis so I lower the price to $305,000. On the first offer he was pushing me very hard so I would sell my house for $305,000 and the price was $314,000. Both my wife and I think we made a terrible mistake by selling our home with him. I only get to see him once, on the day we call him to sell, didn't even have the courtesy to shake hands at the end of the process, anyways I waited and didn't lower the price as he suggested and sold it at $14,200 and just because we were not going to sell any cheaper still he was pushing so we lower the price even more. Never showed our home not even once, other realtors did, of course cause they saw his add. All he did was showing off about his 20 something years of experience whenever he had the chance. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone.

After our first realtor quit on us.....having wasted three months of prime selling time , Norm stepped in and took over . He is very knowledgeable and honest about the market. He got our house out there for everyone to see and promoted the heck out of it. My husband had to leave ahead of time leaving myself and his three little ones behind for eight months. When I felt hopeless, Norm always reminded me to be patient, it would happen and he never gave up on what was a very challenging area to sell in!! Not to mention when we got our offer I was ready to just take it and he said to counter. Glad I listened lol. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of all our hearts. You not only sold our house but you reunited our family!!!! Would recommend Norm and his team a thousand times over. Michelle,Keith and the Tennert girls!

We retained Norm in late January to sell our older rental home. Norm provided direct no nonsense information and advice, which we followed. We negotiated a satisfactory sales contract within 12 days of listing and conditions lifted within 10 days of that. We are pleased with the service we received.
