I had a wonderful experience with Jim as my buyer's agent! He works really quickly and was always available anytime I called. I think he knows everybody in town, and everybody owes him a favour -- because he was able to get me an amazing house at nearly $20,000 under asking in a seller's market. Nobody I've told can believe the price he negotiated. I've purchased a home once before using a different realtor, and the process with Jim was so much better. He took care of absolutely everything and was able to set up appointments for me with a mortgage broker, inspector, notary, the whole shebang -- I didn't lift a finger and he found me extremely trustworthy, personable, and well-priced people to handle every step of the process. I can't recommend Jim enough. He is such a great guy to have on your side!

I have been a licensed Realtor for 24 years and I have had the pleasure of using the service of Jim Ballard and his daughter to assist with my Aunt's sale in Nanaimo. I have to say that Jim impressed me every step of the way. He was incredibly kind, thoughtful, and thorough in our dealings. Jim has also gone out of his way to assist outside of the scope of Real Estate due to the distance away that we live. Jims marketing presence, his 3D Tours and all materials were complete, professional and all done in a timely manner. Jim also went to great efforts to keep me posted of the marketing and showings on the home. His efforts were a 110% and we truly appreciated working with him to sell our Aunts home. An absolute professional and I would highly recommend his services to family and friends. Thanks Jim for the great work

You’re buying a home. Of course you want someone who is truly going to work with you and help you get the best possible deal. Jim is the guy who will be that person...he was for us, and I can’t now see working with anyone else in the real estate game.

Jim Ballard was the most unprofessional realtor I have ever dealt with. We had put an offer in on a home in mill bay and he took over 2 days to have the offer accepted and when it was we only got half the paper work signed. We then asked for the rest of the papers to be signed and he said ‘I’m on my boat for the rest of the day it’ll have to be tomorrow, we’ll shocker it was another day after that before we got them back. In one of our conditions we asked for all strata paper work.. well he left out 20 plus pages of bylaws. Safe to say we never went through with purchasing the house. I would never recommend him to anyone.

Would never recommend Jim. He gives realtors a very bad reputation.
