Went for breakfast this morning and there are too many good things about this place! The setting is beautiful and serene. The food was fantastic. Might we suggest the veggie omelette? The coffee is some of the best there is (Level Ground Trading). To top it all off, and probably the most important, was our server, Carmen. She was delightful and just was top notch from beginning to end. She is a gem and I hope you keep her for the long term. We know where we're coming the next time we're on Quadra!

The rooms are well cleaned and the service is remarkable. Carmen and her team really make you feel at home with lots of attention to detail, warmhearted service, and plenty of great day activity suggestions. The location is quiet and intimate, but close to wonderful trails and the shore.

Great resort simply one of the best places to get married in BC. Totally recommend the eggs benedict.

We came to Gowlland Harbour for a Bday celebration on Mothers Day weekend and were treated to the best scallops and Risotto known to man. The tenderloin was cooked to perfection and Chef Andrew made our visit even better by creating a special dessert for us! The front of house wait staff were still in training and trying to find their flow (so dinner service was a little bumpy) but the kitchen had it dialed, so it more than made up for the fact. The resort was well kept, and the service (Tabitha) at the front desk was AWESOME! My only advice to new comers would be to book a room that is not over top of the kitchen as noise carries late into the night and early in the morning as well. ....And if you are coming for dinner, give yourself plenty of time for a 3 course meal. We will definitely be back in the future!

Lets get this straight, the restaurant was featured was by National Geographic Travel's, NOT the Resort and that will be obvious to you once you enter your room as they are quite dated, musty and your tap might fall off. Upon arrival my spouse went to shower and there was no hot water, I went down to ask the front desk and waited 10 minutes for someone to arrive. Upon the staffs arrival I was given a timeline of two hours. 3 hours later I checked and the water was still not working. I inquired again and was told the issue had still not been resolved and that is all they knew. That night I overheard other guests having the same issue, the "resort" had apparently had an issue with the hot water system at least 2 days prior to our arrival. I was stunned to learn this as any other resort would have at least informed us and given us time to alter our booking or told us they were experiencing issues upon checking in and given us the choice to go elsewhere. The next morning the system still wasn't fixed and it was cold showers again. Once again at breakfast I overheard other guests saying they were using the shower facilities next to the hot tub and sauna since there was still hot water there, it sure would have been nice of the staff of the resort to notify people about this. Communication and transparency were clearly not their strong point. To top it off, our room was never made up during the stay and the complimentary breakfast was an hour and a half late one day, leaving some guests waiting in the dining hall. We enjoyed Quadra and the event we attended however if we were to return it most certainly would not be to Gowlland Harbour "Resort".
