Schoenne Appraisals was a family owned company which serviced hundreds of clients throughout the south Okanagan for over 30 years and was a trusted brand in the industry with many satisfied clients. The negative reviews do not accurately reflect the company's history and service.

Horrible! We did a deal using them and they were so unprofessional. We had an appraisal done and call to say I was OK to pay more $$$ because they have to drive further. I called them personally and said $100 more isn't a big thing to me. They never got it done until I started following up with them. Instead of apologizing, they bad mouth me to the realtor.

This company was completely unprofessional. As soon as they have your money they give you poor service. They told us that they would have the appraisal done in 48 hours and didn't get it finished until 7 days later. Even said they were doing us a favour by working on our appraisal and not others on the 6th day. They talked very rude and disrespectful. They are more about being on a power trip then wanting to give accurate appraisals. Their appraisal comparisons are inaccurate. The banks even questioned their comparisons because they were not comparable. We talked to multiple realtors in Penticton that told us houses had risen 15% . Schoenne said that Realtors always make up stuff. It was even in the news that houses were on the rise. We completely gutted our house to the studs. Got professionals to put in brand new wiring, all new plumbing, drywall, flooring, kitchen etc.. everything. And they said that renovations bring no increase to the value of the house. They actually appraised our house lower then the value that we paid for it un-renovated and before the big 2016 real estate rise. Two offers were made on our house before we bought it for $30,000.00 higher than we paid for it. But the owners wanted higher, ending in giving the house to us for a better deal. This was over a year ago. So how is it possible that our house is worth a substantial amount less then what we paid for it after renovations and a 15% value increase. Trish was the woman who did our appraisals. If the website would allow me to do 0 stars I would, 1 star is too many. BEWARE don't waste your money! Please use Nicam instead. They get their appraisals done on time and have accurate comparisons and actually know how to do their job professionally and treat their customers with respect. Royal bank uses them and told us how good their appraisal was when they did on for us.
