Please take the time to read this!
It all started right from when we moved in. I asked if we could get the apartment cleaned and repainted(the walls were chipped and it smelt weird in the apartment. It was dusty and dirty from no one living there for several months). They said that wasn't a problem. One week later I asked if we could move in and they said the paint was still wet. When we did move in, the paint was still wet( this was three weeks after they originally told us the paint was wet) the place had also not been cleaned at all. After that we fast forward a few months to winter and the humidity is so bad we have to have towels on the window sills to keep water from draining down the walls. When we asked for a dehumidifier, they said they would get us one. A few weeks had passed and still nothing, until my wife found black mold growing under our daughter's mattress! When we told them that, we were finally given a used dehumidifier. Next, our hot water tank decided to give out. To our surprise, we received one right away. Then our washing machine also gave out/leaking lots of water on the floor. When we told them about it, they said it would take a week or two to get it looked at and to take our clothes to a laundromat in town to wash our clothes! When we asked if they could get someone else to look at it, they said they only use one guy and he's busy, "You'll just have to make due" is what we were told. So my wife left them a review about how disappointed she was with their service in general on their Facebook page. Within two hours, they had gotten us a new washing machine. Amazing how they could manage to do that. Our oven has never worked properly. It takes around an hour and a half to cook fries and they still won't be cooked all the way through and other food will be burned on the bottom and raw in the centre. They summed it up to, "That's just how the older ovens work". The grass in the backyard was burned off by the previous tenant. After one summer of not really being able to use the backyard because it was just all mud and dirt, I asked if we could get grass planted, at least then we could make use of the yard. They said the owner wanted to look at it first. I had to hound them all summer about it and now they tell me in the spring they'll be planting grass(yeah right!)Now about our oven, again I asked them about it today, Oct 24 2018, they said that the owner hasn't decided about the oven yet. Any bigger items or repairs have to go through the owners, that is until you leave them a bad review online, then they miraculously get you what you need THE NEXT DAY.
Onpoint is an
agency that has absolutely no care about tenants!
Theyre in it for the money! As one other tenant described and I have to agree.
Very poorly run
My friend had to threaten them with small claims court to get his damage deposit back after 6 months of asking for it!
They collect money and give nothing back in return for their services (if you want to call it a service.)
The only reason I haven't move is my location is great and it's cheap and quiet!
Landowners if your reading this you would be better off managing your own property or looking elsewhere for property management.
Would be tenants, beware that you will have to hound them to get stuff done if it costs more than $20
