Apartment got rented yes, but very awkward . My realtor demanded I not make deductions from my tenant's security deposit who had damaged property. (letter below.) And yet after another poor review on Yelp the business owner states: "the realtor facilitates finding a tenant for the landlord. The lease is between the landlord and the tenant, the deposit is with the landlord." The realtor also recommended a tenant who did not have enough money to make rent by the first of the month (rent was two thirds of her total income and she had no savings.), and if I did not have a clause in the lease saying there was a penalty for not paying on time I would not have found that out. I wound up going with another tenant who was completely qualified but that my realtor had passed over. I use Robinson rental and am thrilled. Good luck! letter appears here: I've seen radiators in bathrooms with rust accumulation all the time, this is not uncommon...I have not charged you for the enormous amount of time helping to deal with this move has taken. Why don't you take the 5 hrs of time I should be charging you and do the right thing and return the security deposit to these tenants. Keep your life simple, do the right thing as an absentee landlord and replace the rusted fixtures as you should. Keep the money I should be charging you for my time. Put it toward those fixtures you don't want to pay for. This has gotten ridiculous.

I can't say enough about Ellen Bartos and her company, Delap Real Estate -- they really know the local market. She worked with us reliably and consistently to sell our house, in a market in which there was not much demand. In the end, though, through her skills and experience, Ellen found buyers and closed the deal for us. I recommend Ellen very highly indeed, and without reservation, to anyone who wants a trustworthy and honorable ally in the purchase and sale of property, in the Pioneer Valley. I would certainly choose to work with her again if I had the opportunity. Well done, Ellen and Delap Real Estate.

A solid, locally owned and operated company. Professional, knowledgable agents who know the local market, and are dedicated to helping their clients and serving the local community. Delap RE is cooperatively owned and managed - unusual for a real estate company. As an agent myself who has had the opportunity to work at other agencies, I can say without hesitation that the cooperative spirit at Delap makes a big difference. Plus the knowledge base of the agents goes deep. Besides being experienced, quality agents, the folks at Delap RE are also very nice, understanding and welcoming. Honestly, Delap is an excellent choice if you need assistance buying or selling property. It's also a great place to work! I just bought a townhouse in Northampton, with the excellent help of Delap agent Laura Sandvik. From the moment Laura got responded to my query about a property, things have gone like clockwork. From our first contact to closing (on a different property) took just over 6 weeks! Laura is knowledgeable, responsive, helpful--she even kept in touch with me while on vacation on the other side of the world! She is a delight to work with, as she's very positive, pleasant, has great relationships with others involved in the process, and she took a genuine personal interest in what I was looking for and helped me land it. I cannot recommend Laura Sandvik, and thus Delap Real Estate, more highly--I'd give her 10 stars!

I would like share with you my experience with my Realtor, Jessica Lapinski of Delap Real Estate. Jessica spent a year with me looking for the "right house" and I couldn't be more grateful for her knowledge of the area, as well as for her always cheerful and optimistic attitude, no matter how dejected I might have started to feel. Finding a house can be very stressful and Jessica was always there trying to make the process easier. If you are looking for someone to help you find the right house, I highly recommend her.
