Be very careful - your money can be stolen. My friend's son came from Germany for a 4 month course in the New School. He wired the security deposit to one of Bond's agents. At the end of the 4 months, he was told that he would get 50% of his deposit in person, and another 50% (more than $1000) would be wired to him. He still has not received the second half more than one year later! I was asked to help, so I spoke to the agent (who is not answering my calls anymore), as well as to Bond's management - which also did not work. Surprisingly, this agent is still listed as active on Bond's site - looks like the management considers such actions of their agents as normal.

READ the YELP reviews for all locations. They are indicative of this agencies continued unprofessional and deceptive practice. The corporate location has a 2.5 rating out of 80 reviews at the time of this writing. It is well deserved considering my own experience. We had the unfortunate experience of dealing with BOND agent Sophia Mai who posted an ad on RentHop advertising a studio unit in Astoria which was within walking distance from our current rental. She required some application to be filled out prior to the showing and only emailed the link the day of never mentioning there was any timeframe for completion. She never confirmed the appointment once the application was completed. Refused to answer her phone or respond to text messages attempting to confirm the appointment. She sent only a generic text with a blatantly false explanation about another agent having the keys and that it was too late since she received the application too late. That is nonsense, since she emailed it the same day which was a workday and only an hour or so before the actual appointment. She is a liar. When confronted about the discrepancy she never answered and said her "partner" agent who had access to the keys would call tomorrow early. Guess what, NO call. AVOID any dealings with BOND and especially Sophie Mai, she is a deceptive and inconsiderate harlot who has zero principles or ethics for proper business etiquette. READ THE REVIEWS. The only positive ones are from shill accounts hoping to boost their public rating in an effort to subversively and deceptively mask their horrid reputation.

Agent Yolanda Chen sent mail that shows owners full name and tell you property current value. I do not know how she get my info because i dont know her. Tenant lives there she give all that info to tenant because its post card without envelop. Ridiculous.

Recently I had the privilege and pleasure to meet with two members of your team during my apartment hunting trip to New York City. During this trip Ms. Jennifer Rouse and Mr. Rich Williams were extremely professional, informative, and provided a diverse listing of apartments to show us, all which helped make my apartment hunting trip to New York a smooth process. As a member of the United States Foreign Service cadre, who has served at both domestic and overseas locales, your team was one of the most organized and focused teams we have dealt with, and they maintained constant communication with us through out the entire apartment hunting and leasing process. Ms. Rouse and Mr. Williams are a reflection of your company and I commend Bond New York for having such a professional team. I have already recommended Bond New York and Ms. Rouse and Mr. Williams to our relocation specialists. Please feel free to use me as a reference. Sincerely, Tanya M. B.

The entire process with Bond New York was extremely disappointing and quite frankly-- unprofessional. My roommate and I were running late to an appointment due to subway delays, because, New York, and we communicated this to the agent. We notified her of our arrival time and she said she would wait. When we arrived the agent had left and another agent was very rude to us and said we were late and they cannot show us an apartment but we need to register in their system. We did not want to register until we were sure we would get to see an apartment. The next day we tried to reschedule and they said there was an application in for the listing and there would be "no point" to see it. Then we asked about another listing and they told us, again, there would be "no point" to go back to the office and register and they couldn't offer us any listings within our budget. It's incredibly discerning when you reach out to a company and you are a paying customer but they stick up their nose because they aren't going to make as much commission. So rude, so disrespectful, and we will not be using their services moving forward.
