Moving this time was not an easy journey to begin with. I had boxes of documents and stuff that accumulated since the passing of my husband and my Mom and Dad. I had to exercise difficult decisions on so many levels.
I have moved many times in the past so I knew what to expect (sort of). When I asked Brandon to take care of the sale of my house, he saw what a job I had in store and gently encouraged me to work at it and get back to him when I thought I was ready. After a few months, he came over and made suggestions as to what I needed to remove to make the house look appealing to the buyer. I felt that a fresh coat of paint was necessary to make the house uniform and he gave me the colours to work with. All this was done but when he suggested a "Stager", I thought to myself, why?
After reviewing all of it, I agreed on the stager, and to be honest it transformed my house, making it very appealing....so I am so glad that I went that route.
Brandon worked smart. The house next door went up for sale at the same time as mine and there was a perspective buyer looking at that house when Brandon was with the photographer out front. He ran over and peaked their interest to come and look at mine since it was just going on the market. They came and looked at it and liked it.
The Saturday after this Brandon had an open house. There were quite a few people who expressed interest and the couple that saw the house earlier came back for a second look and made an offer. An inspection showed that I had a crack, which I knew was there on the outside, but didn't realize it was on the inside as well and had been there for sometime. Because of this and the fact that there was not enough insulation in the attic, they backed out.
Brandon continued to encourage me by saying that cracks like this are very normal in older houses (50+), as well as the insulation too. We got a couple of quotes for the crack and realized that it was easily fixed, especially since I never had water in the basement.
Again, Brandon was working behind the scenes, calling all the folks that expressed interest to let them know that the house was on the market again. I received another offer which came in low, and Brandon suggested that we keep it at the offer that was first given and the offer went south.
Once again, Brandon was not phased by this at all and continued to do his magic. He had another open house for agents, and that afternoon the first buyers came back with a firm offer if I would have the crack repaired. So, I agreed and the house is sold, for the original offer.
So, thank you Brandon, for a job well done. When I felt overwhelmed you kept saying that my house shows well, and the price is right for the area, and that you will work for me to get the money that it is worth. And you did....Thank you so much.
Now, I'm looking for a Condo, and I am kind of a stickler to where I want to live and what layout best suits me. He is diligently making inquiries and following every lead.
Again, a great Agent. He works hard and goes the extra mile to help. He will take care of you as he would want to be taken care of. He is always pleasant. I highly recommend him.
