We used an agent at Hunt to rent a unit in our owner-occupied building. From the beginning we could tell he was young and inexperienced but went along with it because, hey, everyone has to start somewhere and we're small potatoes. His visit to our property felt rushed and like we were just another business deal. We shrugged that off, again because, really, our one little unit didn't demand the big guns. After multiple months, we finally got a few interested parties. The agent was very firm that we accept a particular applicant, even though we expressed hesitation with their financial status. He lost the lease and application template we'd given him - I had to retype it twice. He also didn't bring a blank lease to the signing - I had to print it and all the other paperwork while everyone stood around in our hallway. Then he sent back a scanned copy of the wrong document. After signing the lease, we learned some information about the tenants that Hunt had not shared with us. We contacted the agent's supervisor but didn't get a response. We then contacted the supervisor's supervisor and got a minimal brush off. All we wanted was a little apology and understanding. For a company that should be very customer-relationship savvy, it was shocking to be dismissed and ignored. Needless to say, we won't be using Hunt in the future.
