This experience has been the worst so far. This brokerage in appearance is beautiful however looks can be deceiving. I leased a condo through them and upon moving in I started to clean, now when I viewed this unit I was under the impression by all parties that the unit will be cleaned upon moving in. Now when I moved in it did indeed look clean until I started to move the appliances from there place (fridge, stove etc) - we found mold in every bathroom drain, plus the drains were all extremely clogged. There was smoke infestation in the light fixtures, the owner had previously painted the unit a light blue trying to hide this but did not paint the closets or behind the appliances and that is where I found plenty of smoke damage. The baseboards had extreme build up on them from nobody cleaning previously and properly. There was inappropriate words written underneath the cabinets and top it all off when I did remove the appliances there was tons of dog hair and left over food and children's toys underneath them. There was probably 1inch of hair underneath everything with a ton of dust. I've lived in a handful of condos, I've never seen anything so bad in my life. I started cleaning the dishwasher and there was left over moldy food stuck in it, the washer and dryer as well had mold on the floor and dirt inside the lining. I asked to have my money refunded because I have children residing with me and I'm highly allergic to pets. The lease stated no smoking and no pets so I figured the previous tenants didn't have pets or smoked but I was wrong, the owners of the property didn't care in regards to this situation they even told me they cleaned but it's clear they didn't. I also found small amounts of water damage through out the condo and the plumbing in the other bathroom did not work properly. This unit was listed at 1800/month but I'm sorry to say this condo was completely disgusting and not up to any standards. It needed a lot of work to be rented out again from the previous owner but nobody cared or did anything to take care of their investment. The carpets in the bedroom stunk like animals and they agreed to professionally clean the carpets only after I moved in. All of these things should have been done prior to a new tenant moving in. I had to move my belongings out after I spent time and money moving in, and driving to and from Markham, plus taking time off of work. I asked for my refund and the agent was understanding. Up until I had to return the keys. The listing agent on this property (Ricky Sood) got very rude over the phone, telling me he did me a favor but this unit wasn't habitable. If this would have gone to the court I would have easily won my claims. I suffer from anxiety and I had to get my husband to take over the phone calls between Ricky and I because he started yelling and swearing at me on the phone. It honestly brought me to tears. This situation has in-convinced me to the fullest extent possible. He told my brokerage that I had to get my "thug" on the phone when it was my husband on the phone, and he was being as professional as possible towards Ricky. The whole situation has been awful. Stay away from World Class & Ricky. The manner in which he spoke to me was completely unfair, demanding and intolerable. I'm shocked a realtor would act like this and I'm also shocked the landlord did not take care nor clean the condo and expected tenants to move into those conditions. I gave them a bank draft and they refused to give me one back, the cheque they gave me to won't clear for 5 days.
