Floors and Kitchens is an inept, sneaky, and poorly run company. After speaking with Jake, my wife and I were assured our bathroom renovation project would be do-able by Floors and Kitchens Today contractors. Jake promised a timetable of approximately 6-8 days from project commencement to completion. Well, the project ended up taking more than 4 months. This was almost entirely due to the ineptitude of the Floors and Kitchens Today staff and their contractors who, on more than 5 separate occasions, either failed to show up (after Jake promised they would arrive) or showed up unprepared to/unable to perform any work. There were countless promises from Jake that work would be done, that a particular person could do a particular task, only to find out that it was all untrue. This was all after the wife and I had taken days out of work to be home for when contractors arrived, only to learn mid-day that they either weren't coming or, when they did arrive, they worked for a matter of minutes and then left. After telling Jake during our first meeting we wanted a 'finished bathroom,' he failed to include a critical component on our scope of work which, due to its unclear style, we did not recognize was missing. Failed to be included was plastering over cement board. Jake/Floors and Kitchens Today were actually going to put together our entire bathroom without finishing the walls! This oversight delayed the project even further. Throughout the project, the communication between Floors/Kitchens Today and their contractors was virtually non-existent. We resorted to calling their contractors directly when they were late/didn't show up and they would often tell us that they "were not scheduled to work that day" or that the item for installation "wouldn't be ready for another few days." This occurred, despite Jake's guarantees that everything was ready and installation was confirmed. Once the project was more or less complete (we had to do quality control work due to poor installation of materials), we had one final issue with our vanity - a door was catching upon opening and closing. Jake assured us that "with their guarantee, a carpenter would be out to fix it." This was brought to Jake's attention in December of 2017.....still no carpenter and, though Jake has asked us a couple times since December how things are with our bathroom, he has not followed up with sending a carpenter to repair our new, but defective vanity. This has all been thoroughly documented through countless e-mails not only with Jake, but with the Regional Manager, as well. It was no use, as service did not improve. Use at your own risk!

We’re grateful to have chosen them, a company that exceeded our expectations. Their craftsmanship is superb with its attention to detail. Our new kitchen is a pleasure to behold and has become a seamless part of our hundred year old home, which has been renovated. With much input from designers, we were able to conceive a design that works exactly as imagined. The kitchen is timeless. We were heartened and impressed by both the work ethic and sensitivity of the installers who were both attentive and considerate of our personal space. Kudos to their outstanding team!

Jake did a great job installing an area rug in our finished basement. We had the extra padding sewn on the back. It looks great and warms up the space so much. High quality rug at a reasonable price.
