We recently bought a “weekend /summer-place” at Sylvan Lake! The windows desperately needed covering (everything was bare!!) as the sun comes up one side and down the other so I booked an in home consult with Budget Blinds. The Rep that came out (Terri) was super professional (as well as the Trainee, Natasha?) and they both did a great job measuring and explaining everything! A few short weeks later they called to advise the blinds had arrived and book a date to install!! Installations went great! The guys (Dale and Dustin) did a super great job and I LOVE MY BLINDS!!! Upstairs is all room darkening and super smooth. Main level is light filtering “top down/bottom up” and is nice and sleek looking - privacy and/or light coming in can be adjusted as needed! LOVE them!! Great job you guys!! If you ever need blinds for anything, at a reasonable price, call BUDGET BLINDS!! :)

Amazing Service! We had our initial consult with Terri, we couldn't have been more happy with her professionalism and suggestions. She knew the exact look we were going for. Unfortunately when the product arrived there was a slight manufacturer defect. We brought this up with our installer and with Terri and had our new blind within 2 weeks. We love our whole house and all our blinds!! Definitely recommend Budget Blinds in Red Deer for anyone looking for window coverings !

I was given a coupon for a discount for this place from my realtor after the purchase of my house. I ended up ordered 2 roller blinds. One for the kitchen and one for our daughters room. Due to the small inner window frame depth we had to mount the blinds outside and above the window casing. We had asked that the roller blinds roll off the back side of the roller instead of the front so when rolled down it would create a tight seal to the window casing and let in less light. In the kitchen we asked the blind material be wide enough to cover the window casing completely, as it is an eyesore. The blinds arrived and the one in the kitchen, the controls for the electric open/close option was installed backwards and the shade material was 1/2 inch inside the window casing all the way around. The girls bedroom was made so that the material came off the roller off the front side of the roller. Leaving the roller material 1 1/2 inches away from the window casing, allowing a ton of light to bleed into the room. (Makes it hard for little girls to fall asleep at 7 pm when the room is fully lit). The installer made notes and spoke to his office and left. Didn’t hear back from the saleswoman. 2 weeks later I emailed to find out what was going to be done, as they were obviously not going to follow up. They had my $1000 already. I asked that they follow up with my girlfriend, as she has a more flexible schedule. The girls bedroom blinds were an easy fix. The material just needed to be rolled on the spindle the other way. My Girlfriend was given a song and dance that the kitchen blinds were measured to “Industry Standard.” Funny thing is that the spindle and spindle mounts were the width of the window casing exactly. Seems unusual that I overheard my girlfriend say to the saleswoman on 3 occasions “cover the window casing” and the overall width is exactly the size of the window casing. Somebody forgot to add the extra for the spindle and the mounting hardware...... After standing my girlfriend up for an appointment she left work early to make, she called the saleswoman to follow up, to have the saleswoman say was still at the shop and something had come up. No apologies for wasting her time. The sales woman later asked if she could drop the blinds off? I intercepted her at the door and was not happy to hear how things had unfolded. I took the blinds and vented that “the reason why I paid a professional to measure the blinds was so their finished sizes would be correct.” And they f’d it up. I don’t care what industry standard is. I paid a grand for 2 blinds and one is too small. In short don’t waste your time, Go see Holly at Central Alberta Flooring, she measured my last house upstairs and down, gave me a huge discount and they were amazing!

We had Dale out to our Cabin to get some new blinds. Was very impressed with his knowledge, he even came out to do the install himself! Will definitely use Budget Blinds again! Thanks Dale!
