Just got terrible news from Raul at Pella in Brea. They have closed all of the retail/parts stores in Southern California. You can no longer buy any replacement screens or window hardware. As a 35 year licensed contractor I find this ridiculous. I used to take screens to any of their retail stores and get replacements orderered. This truly isn't rocket science. Wow what a bad business decision. Instead they want you to first pay a Pella salesperson a minimum of $150.00 plus the cost of new screens or hardware. My next projects I'll be using another window or door manufacturer. FYI I just ordered new screens for my 5 Anderson Glider doors on the phone. No extra measuring fees just gave them the measurements.

Melissa in customer service and Jessica the sales rep were very helpful. In 36 years my Pella doors were still operating as good as new. And my windows are also still in good shape.

I have called multiple times to only get an answering machine, and have left voice messages. I have done this over two weeks and still have not heard back from this company. How do they stay in business?

Very poor service came out and sprayed door and charged $150-door still not right

The handle (keyed side) of our Pella french doors has never been quite right since we originally purchased the doors at Lowes and had them installed. Over time, the handle's hardware finally gave way, and we had to call a Pella repairman out to fix it. The schedule date was one month after we made the call. After looking at the interior of the handle, the repairman determined that the original piece inside the interior of the door handle was stripped on one side. He simply turned the piece onto the other side and reinserted it into the door. Pella ended up charging us $150 for this very minor repair, which we found to be outrageous! At maximum, the short amount of time the repairman spent on the door and the fact that he didn't even have to use a new replacement part, should have been no more than $50. Needless to say, we were very disappointed with Pella's service, and we will not be calling them back for any future repairs.
