Sadley this Winnipeg company trips on their own policies to fail at customer service. I had a jeld-wen patio door installed at our cabin. When a tree fell on the cabin smashing through the sliding door we tried to get a replacement slider. We were told that they don’t sell to the public. Ummm I am not buying new I need a replacement for the slider I already purchased from you. Nope you have to call Ralph Thompson he is our go to guy and he will sell to you. Ok fine did that over 5 calls with Ralph. Still no price and no call back. His excuse is he is waiting for the right guy at Jeld wen to let him know the price and availability. I give up and call Jeld -wen back. Asking pleading for information on if a replacement is even available. Can’t tell you. You have to go through Ralph. Or here is the name of another guy and if he doesn’t get back to you then call us back and we will escalate it to management. After four weeks of wanting for Ralph. I asked if it can be escalated now. No sorry, you have call the next guy that’s why we have 2 guys. I was told. Sadly I gave up. And bought a whole new patio door from another company and got it installed. This is Terrible customer service. Obtuse behaviour on their policy. The people I delt with could not even empathize as to how this is not good customer service. For future I will avoid purchasing Jeld -wen products because of this customer service fail.

Absolutely horrible company. Bought 5 windows for our kitchen renovation, installed by our contractor. As soon as spring arrived, we started noticing a build up of "crud" between the exterior pane and the seal. Water and dirt were getting into the window. We notified the company, and after a wait, they eventually sent out a third-party to "fix" the windows. The third-party guys seemed competent enough, but I was surprised to see that all they seemed to be doing was cutting out the old glass, and gluing in new glass. Would it have killed them to just bring new factory-sealed window units and plop them in? Regardless, this repair was done on a cold fall day last year, while we froze inside our house, because they'd removed three windows while doing it. Fast forward to this past spring. Same problem all over again! Warranty will be up soon, so I figured I'd better get this resolved. I sent a note to their warranty people over a week ago. I still have not received a reply! So I called them three days ago to follow up on that e-mail. I was put through to the voicemail of someone who assures you that he'll "get right back to you". Guess what? He didn't! I called one more time just now, and spoke to a lovely person (Sarah) who was understanding and is "opening a case" for me. Great, but the proof will be in the pudding. How do they solve the problem this time? And what happens when my warranty is up if this happens again next spring? Quality of Product = Horrible. Quality of Customer Service = Weak.

All of our high priced Wilmar windows have failed. There is no warranty as they always blame the installation crew!

Our contractor recommended JELD-WEN's Willmar Collection for our window/patio door replacement. We are very pleased with them, especially with the Low-E coating that enabled us to get rid of the ugly blinds covering the patio doors we had.
