Several years ago I had the privilege of working with Jim Lockhart and his crew. Renovations included- new shingles , some roof repair, soffit, fascia, eaves trough, downspouts, new skylight, ventilation fan in bathroom. I was impressed with the excellent workmanship, professional and personal integrity. He gave great advice re design and home maintenance tips - crew were respectful. I am getting ready to retire, list my house and relocate to another province. I am so grateful for Jim L and his crew for helping to improve and maintain the value of my home. I have received positive feedback thanks to these completed Reno projects.

Lockhart Roofing did my roof and I am so so happy with it. Jim spent the time explaining my options, shingle selection, warranty, and was very thorough. I learned so much about roofs. Very professional, work was done exactly as indicated, the crew did an excellent job! Very clean afterwards! Jim was right when he said my roof would be the best looking! I ❤️ the contrasting shingles, texture and colour. Highly recommend this company

Terrible contractor and Jim always has lots to say, True! We believed and thought integrity, reputation, years in business, insured, BBB approved, well that doesn’t mean nothing. We hired Jim Lockhart with trust and they charged a lot of money to renovate exterior of 720 sq ft home, took off old stucco, insulate and vinyl side. So we left on short vacation to BC in June 2014. Lockhart hired sub contractor and no sooner we got home, job was almost done and sub contractor we met told us Lockhart doesn’t know them, hired off Kijiji, Jim came to supervise job, bring materials and told them to hurry up. By Nov 2014, not very cold, but house cold, frost on exterior base of siding, cold inside. Jim Lockhart refused to return, he said house too sealed & go buy air exchanger. We reached out to Mb Hydro energy program and they advised house not sealed & made a house call (something they don’t do); only then would Lockhart return. Lockhart agreee to send crew back in 2015 to remove base of siding, spray foam and left. That cured the frost but house still very cold. After 4 years of living in cold house, we took off siding Easter 2018 to see problem. Well the stucco was cut top/ bottom and they left the old stucco behind and just fit in 4x8 sheet foil insulation, Johns Mainville. That is good insulation but foil side faces exterior, not done here, our photos show white side. Nothing was sealed, insulation doesn’t seal itself, no house wrap and vinyl siding installed. The vinyl does nothing to seal building and the front faux brick siding was glued/screwed so with frost entering it heaved the siding and seams seperated leaving gaps. Jim Lockhart stated the faux brick was a manufacturer's defect, however he never returned to correct. Jim later complained he made no money, he priced this job 6 months in advance and hired subcontractor to make nothing, businesses will tell you he made plenty which is why and how he subcontracted. Now we know the truth but that doesn’t provide a refund. Small claims has no guarantee to collect, seriously read the government website you need to know where they bank? Honestly there is no consumer protection! You can view photos on Yelp or twitter, Connie Norberg@Phoenix 20124. This nonsense will stop & I will advocate to ensure this happens. Thank-you.
