First the positive. On Feb 22 we had a new door installed - full glass -. The installation was done perfectly and the door construction looks strong. Now the complaint. We told the salesperson last year before purchasing this door that it is extremely important for us to have privacy. We picked a door in the brochure that looked, - based on the picture - a decent private glass. The salesman omits to tell us that this door does not provide the privacy we wanted. Right after the installation, we noticed that the glass installed is not private at all. I immediately send a written note to the head office and an email to the salesman. In my email, I told him that I want this error to be rectified by replacing the glass at no extra cost. I am still waiting for head office response. But the response from the salesman was fast - but as expected - deflecting the blame on us. His communication made us feel like idiots, that we picked the door with a low privacy knowing well that our highest priority is to have privacy. After about exchanging a dozen emails, he said that there is nothing he can do, that I should contact his manager. Well, I did contact his manager, left a voicemail to call me on my cell but the manager decided to call me at home while I was at work. The message said I will call you back. This happened 4 days ago and still waiting. They are quick to sell but lack the most important skill, customer satisfaction. Not one person came to my place to discuss this issue - despite my invitation to do so - They are very quick to put blame on you. I am still waiting for this to be rectified. Update March 19 - The company reached out to me and after an amicable conversation they have provided me with a couple of solutions that it may work (at no extra cost). I do appreciate the fact that they have listened to our complaint and hopefully we can resolve this issue promptly. I am happy to give 4 stars based on today's conversation. Update April 21 - They arrived yesterday to install the privacy screen product. The work was done quickly and professionally. We have finally get our privacy and the door looks great. Thank you for your suggestion. We are very happy with the way the door looks. It took a bit longer to resolve the issue but the product looks great.

DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY. The sales person was informed us that we could receive the government rebate 2-4 weeks after the installation done. Then the installer said it would take 6-8 weeks to receive it. After 6 weeks from the installation I called to company to find out the status of our rebate. The person on the phone told me they have not even submit our rebate to government yet(because of some government website maintenance which takes 5 weeks to fix it!!!). They said it will take 8-12 weeks to receive the rebate after they submit it. They did not bother to inform us about any delay. We borrow from our line of credit to fund this project and hoped we would not pay much interest to our line of credit since we would receive the rebate in 2-4 weeks. The sale person would say anything to buy you in. Do not trust them. I hope I will not have any issue with the windows so I do not have to deal with them.

After talking to the staff at the Home show we decided to book an appointment. The salesman who arrived was very helpful, suggesting many options and solutions that fit our budget. The company kept us informed on the status of our order and then booked the installation for a convenient time and day for us. The installer her did a great job and cleaned up the site perfectly. BUT the best was the follow up by the company to ensure we were completely satisfied. Would recommend this company as the are a hassle free way to get home repairs done.

We had all our windows replaced, double hung and casement and two sets of patio doors installed with a LIFETIME WARRANTY.The installation was done well and they looked good at the time. As the years passed every window has failed in some way ! Parts of the double hung window frames have fallen apart, windows no longer open because of failed slider mechanisms, patio door window seals have failed creating moisture in between and barely slide open because rollers fell apart and the casement windows when cranked open, the rod falls out of the bottom of the window. We have called many times over the years about the lifetime warranty and have been given every excuse that there is no coverage, told that there is a charge for them to look at the problem and now told that the manufacture is out of business. They put you off hoping you just go away! What is the point of having a lifetime warranty when virtually nothing is covered. They promise you everything to get your business but will not honour any product installed.DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY !!

Original post May 23 OK job, follow-up abysmal. Work was completed just over two weeks ago. The team worked well, and overall I am "happy" with the installation. During install I found a drop cloth (including pink insulation and general debris) thrown onto my bed. There was dust left everywhere they worked. I was disappointed they started with bedrooms as I was able to better prepare the other rooms before day two and three of work. The bedrooms on the other hand required significant cleaning before being used again. The work quality is far from perfect, but better than I could do. The installer and I noted issues with a few screens (4) that he assured me he contacted the office about. There was also questions regarding whether I did in fact get triple glaze (paid for) on three of my smaller windows. I made note of this on the "exit" paperwork. I assumed I would hear from the office promptly with an exit interview, if nothing else. After a few days I emailed the office person I had spoken to via email before for other aspects of the job (and always received prompt feedback previously) and I have gotten no response. A few days ago I sent another email to the office contact, the customer service address, and the sales team address. I have still heard nothing back. Between the screen issues, the triple glaze questions, the fact the "do not remove" warranty stickers are starting to fall off, and issues I have with our front door selection (mixed fault that needs to be addressed), we have a lot to talk about. I am EXTREMELY disappointed. When reading reviews it's great to see about all the prefect jobs. It is however VERY telling of the company that the moment the job is done, despite issues being voiced, they fall off the radar. I regret this choice of company, and have already steered two friends far from this company. Based on my experience I ABSOLUTELY can NOT recommend you get work done by them. ******June 5, 2018 update****** Paul was very quick to reach out following my negative review. I responded with questions and there has been no response in the last two weeks. The remaining issues are as follows. I was sold triple pane windows constructed by Vinyl Built for my whole home. The small windows in my basement were replaced with double pane windows. The response was that triple pane isn’t an option (which was not explained or clearly stated in contract). According to the Vinyl Built worker here today the windows used are not theirs, and he has no idea who the manufacturer is. I was clearly oversold and the product was under delivered. The door insert is not at all the privacy level we wanted. The catalogue is extremely deceiving. I asked about replacing the insert. The response was that it’s not an option. I followed up questioning this. A glass insert, very susceptible to breaking or failure, not being replaceable and therefore requiring the whole door to be replaced does not make sense. I responded within hours of being sent an email. That was on May 23. It is now June 5. This is unacceptable. They’ve had more than ample time to respond and address my concerns. As a sidenote, for days after install the chemical smell in the house was unbearable. The windows HAD to all be left open due to the smell. We talked with friends, who we turned away from Consumers Choice, and they got quotes from other companies. They said there should have been zero issues with odour, and this was absolutely not something that should be expected. Buyer beware.
