I've deliberately waited some six month's after our windows and doors were installed to post this very positive review, thus allowing for all things with regards to our installation to settle.
Once we had decided that we were finally in a position to upgrade and renew our old wooden Victorian sash windows of our period property here in Dorset, we set about doing what everyone does.
We started to investigate all of the possibilities, should we save money by going PVC, should we go hardwood or softwood, should we obtain our windows independently and have them fitted by a local sash window fitter??? The list of possibilities was endless and the more we looked into all of the possibilities we very quickly began to understand that what ever route we took, it was NOT going to be easy and certainly not cheap!!!
Only after what was quickly becoming weeks of stressful investigations, by chance we visited our neighbour's nearby. Only to identify that they had had the exact windows we were looking for fitted some three years earlier. Our neighbour's advise and recommendation with regards to quality and cost effective replacement of their own windows replacement experience was priceless.
We contacted their windows Company "Premier Timber Windows'' and from our very first encounter to our final window being installed (15 windows and 2 door's) the whole experience was seamless as well as painless.
Advice with regards to style of window, type of window, costing (bang for your buck..) was in our opinion first class. Structural issues/concerns regarding our building were also covered in detail. We eventually decided on like for like Hard Wood windows, as we believed that they would be best and in keeping with our property.
The sales team were always at the end of the phone, steering and guiding us with professional technical/structural explanations as well as advice such as "this style and type of window will enhance the overall property value etc..." this type of window will be in keeping of the rest of the neighborhood etc...
Moving on very quickly to what we believe to be the most critical stage of the window replacement saga, the installation phase... Firstly having a five/six man work force moving throughout your home is to say at the very least "difficult". However and without hesitation I can say that the whole team treated our home with the utmost respect, I'd go further and say it was a pleasure to have them in our home.
My only very small criticism as that, I believe the Companies attention to a small issue could have and should have been more diligent. We had noticed during the early installation stage that, screws retaining the pulley brackets within the window frames were secured by different style screw's. However, I'm happy to say that this small glitch was very quickly rectified by the team within hours of informing them.
All of our guarantees, as well as our FENSA certificate have arrived on time and have been activated without concern.
In summary, we can say without doubt that the service, product, experience including value for money has been of the highest quality... Without reservation I would like to sincerely thank all of those within "Premier Timber Windows'' who were involved with our windows upgrade, and will without hesitation give them my highest recommendation... A huge thank you "Premier Timber Windows'', a very good well done...
