It does not get any better than DENMAR in Nanaimo. They have been my go to company for the past 21 years. They took care of me when my family was young, and I was short on cash; kept my family safe by fixing illegal wiring left behind by previous owner of my house...and charging me a fair price. I have never gone anywhere else since.

I cannot understand any bad review. I have used this Company for over 10 years. When I contacted them with a "please can you come now"... DenMar bent over backwards to help, yet again! The price seemed commensurate with the work accomplished by today's standards. So this Company gets an Absolutely Fabulous rating from me!

Just top notch service and all done at fair prices. We needed a lot of electrical clean up work done to our house in Nanoose Bay and Duane was very helpful in determining what was necessary and also helped plan for future upgrades. Once onsite Graham and others who worked on the house were pro's and worked well with our other sub trades who needed connections. Just a great company and very nice folks, highly recommend, and will be using them again.

I was a happy customer and used Den Mar several times after buying my home. One day after a couple of months gone by a couple of the pot lights installed by them in my living room started hanging down from my ceiling. I called the company and explained what was happening only to get some excuse saying that because I supplied my own pot lights there would be no warranty for them to come and fix their work. The lights were brand new, and under this reasoning no one would get warranty from this company as how many people actually go buy their own lights to have them put in by a licensed electrician? Basically everyone! So I left a message on their Facebook page and had someone else contact me. He came by my house and picked up the parts for the one light and then left, leaving one of my lights litterally hanging out of my ceiling still. Then after several days told me he couldn't get the necessary clips for the light. You serious? You're an electrical company and you can't fix a broken pot light? Anyway I went to the hardware store that I bought the lights from and the manager was able to get the parts for me that I needed. I called Denmar and I asked for the original parts back that they took away as one of the parts for the light i still needed. I was told twice that they would come by and drop them off and they no showed. I had to contact them and They never appologized for not showing up. They finally came when I wasn't home and dropped them off, but then I never heard from them again. No, follow up of customer retention, no customer service! Even more, I have a couple of more electrical jobs and thought i would give them a chance to try and retain a customer and earn my business back so I called and left a message asking them if they want the work. No response! I guess this is thier business model. If they break it and you bought it they are not responsible for it even if they installed it! And, if you complain about it, they brush you off and ignore you! Highly dissapointed, I actually liked this company, they were great to deal with until there's a problem!

Had a quote from Denmar for $400-$450 and 4 hour job ended up costing almost $800 bucks. I was extremely unhappy about the quote and when the estimator contacted me to explain invoice, he claimed exchanging light switches in open walls takes 15 minutes each. Nonsense that any general contractor would laugh at if they were charged 1 billable hour to do four switches. Will never use them again and will be sure to inform everyone that their invoices are ridiculously inflated.
