I hired this company to install a generator in 2014 and at first they told me it needed to be moved further away from the building and that the warranty wouldn't start until it was hooked up (in reality the technician started it at that time despite being told otherwise). We got the generator moved and then we spent two years trying to get it to work with Reliant telling us that it was defective and that they had to go to Kolher to get new parts. I paid them over $600 initially and then another $250 although they tried to bill me an additional $500. Today, in 2017 after telling them it wasn't working they inisited I pay another $250 for them to come out and make it work. The reality is that it was never about faulty parts from Kolher (it was clear that they had no idea what was wrong and they did not have the expertise to evaluate the error) it turned out that they were unsure of the needed gas line to the generator. At first they said 1.25" then 1.5" and finally the gas company told me that in their experience it needed to be 1.75" so that's when I paid to have another new line installed! The generator still doesn't work and when I call theirI was told that the man that describes himself as the owner "Art" is not the owner and that someone named John is the owner but when I talk to Art he says he is the owner and his wife Elizabeth who I had dealt with no longer works there which gives me suspicion that if he was truly the owner his wife would still be there. No matter what the drama I have paid them close to $1,000 and the generator still doesn't work and in my opinion all Art wants is an additional fee. He accused me on not wanting to pay for service despite the generator near properly working. My suggestion is stay away from these people as they are again in my opinion "incompetent and only interested in additional billings" and while I understand your experience could be different all I can tell you is that after 3 years all I want is the generator to work when the electricity goes out and I still don't have that. I am filing a complaint with the state as I believe Electricans must be licensed and they have demonstrated their total and complete disregard for the customer! My suggestion do not do business with these people! Here is a review from YELP that reflects my feelings exactly as I knew the old owners. "This company was sold by the lovely people that used to own it. It was a fabulously run business and it is the absolute opposite now. Not only didn't they solve the problems they were called out to address, but they scared the tenants, charged over and over again for multiple service calls on the same unresolved issues. Argumentative and dishonest. Happily with another electrician now!"
