Beware! Waiting for over 6 months after paying for expensive light fixtures. Will not answer calls requesting lights or refunds. Closed Barrie store on Dunlop Street and now in Orillia 10 Western Avenue. You have to drive there to talk with him. Impossible to deal with. Starting legal action. Very stressful for senior.

I wondering what is going on with this business. I purchased a lamp 16 Sep 2023 for $366.12. I made several calls (mail box full) to find out the status and then went into the store. I was told I'd be provided with an update, didn't happen. Dropped into the store last week and it was completely cleaned out. No signs on the window stating perhaps a new location. Does anyone know if they are bankrupt? Sad thing is, I was going to go to Home Depot, but decided to purchase local, this is apparently a family business. It's difficult to purchase local when you get burned.

I have bought several fixtures at Lighting Gallery over the years, and each one has added something unique to our home. Customer service was always a draw: there are so few stand-alone businesses left and it's a different experience when you're not dealing with the face of a corporate entity. Very many thanks, Ray - the new fixture is the perfect last touch and the bathroom looks great!

On October 20th,2023, my mother, Kathy M., ordered a light fixture from Ray and paid him $632.80 up front. He said it would take approximately 3 weeks for the fixture to arrive. Since paying for the fixture she has not received the light or a refund; he has completely disappeared and been non-responsive to all follow up communication. The Barrie store closed without notice or any alternative way of reaching him. In the past, she has purchased 8 light fixtures from him without issue, however he has now taken her money and disappeared. I do not recommend this company.

I purchased 2 demo model ceiling fans and some outdoor lighting that had to be ordered. I was told 2 weeks for pick up of the outdoor lights as they were in stock with the manufacturer. October 31 I picked up the fans I asked Ray if he could source a chandelier I had seen in a magazine. He is very knowledgeable and found it immediately. I also ordered it and he said it would approximately arrive in early December. I shop locally as much as possible. I popped into the store a couple of weeks later to follow up on status of the outdoor lighting. To my shock the showroom was dismantled with a moving truck parked outside. Luckily Ray was inside and I left feeling reassured he would be opening up in Orillia. He told me the outdoor lights were prearranged to ship to his home. For this reason I believe he knew he was closing even when he took my money. I have always given Ray the benefit of the doubt as I am also in retail and felt some empathy to lead times etc... My issue is with the follow up as I have not heard anything from him since Nov 22. He was supposed to call me Nov 28 after speaking with the manufacturer. Since Nov 30 I have called the Barrie store number that is still active, emailed on the online store link and texted a number I believe to be a cell. No response! At the end of the day I would just like my lights but maybe a refund is the best route to take. I hope Ray contacts me like he did the reviewer below mine. The transactions in question are $3238.58 and $1604.60. Otherwise grateful I paid by CC and not cash.

The owner is very knowledgeable and helpful when you are in the store. I am having an issue with follow up on the pendant lights I order well over one month ago. Just want a follow up to get the lights. Calling in never gets answered and can not leave a message. Will give 5 stars when I received the lights I ordered.
