My review is for the design and 3D drawing services of Amanda Moir, at the Maple Ridge location. Amanda provided us with detailed and well thought out drawings for two kitchens of our home, with a reasonably quick turnaround. She was extremely patient with our many iterations, changes and preferences. Her soft-spoken manner, client orientation and attention to detail made her stand out from other designers. Thank you Amanda for assisting us on our kitchen design!

I've used RW Cabinets for all my projects. As a custom home builder, they always blow me away with their superior built Cabinets and attention to detail. Their Installers are professional and highly skilled bringing your kitchen designs to life. I highly recommend RW Cabinets for your next project!

It isn't every day (week, month, year, etc) that we have an expensive (for us) kitchen/bathroom renovation done, so I don't have a comparative experience to go on vs. another custom cabinet maker; however, based on my excellent experiences with other contractors at home and at work, I would highly recommend choosing a different cabinet contractor than Regency West (RW) Cabinets for your expensive renovation. 1) My wife and I attended their showroom in Maple Ridge to discuss build options. When our contractor later showed us the plan they had drawn up NONE of the options we had discussed with their representative actually showed up on the plans, the cabinets were the wrong size, and the layout was incorrect. It was as if no conversation had occurred. 2) During installation, of the approved design, their technician mis-drilled the a drawer handle so badly that you could see it wasn't level from across the room. Granted that mistakes will happen, but a true measure of a company/person is how they rectify them. Rather than own up to the error, it took multiple calls and e-mails to get a technician out to then decide that, yes, the drawer was so badly drilled it wasn't repairable, which resulted in a further delay as I insisted the drawer had to be remade. 3) I've had to file down a number of sharp metal ends (staples? small nails?) on the lower trim noticed after cutting my toe cooking one evening. 4) The bathroom sink cabinet was, in hindsight, poorly designed/made/installed (not square to the room, and not square to the sink, no sealing) and lacking sufficient overhang. Now the outer wall of the cabinet has started (~1.5 years later) to swell from moisture, which is going to result in an expensive or poorly concealed repair. As a layman, trusting an "expert" the design issue was not something that had occurred to me until looking at bathroom designs once the problem presented itself. We were expecting our first child within a month of completion and time was of the essence (significant delay getting the cabinets from our quoted install date didn't help) and I decided at the time that I had invested as much time/energy as I could in getting RW to "make it right." Now, in hindsight, looking at the bathroom cabinet and as I continue to notice small signs of poor manufacturing and installation as well as the above experiences I wish I'd dealt more forcefully with the business at the time. I would certainly never choose to use this company again.
