I have had Pioneer cabinets in my house that are nearly 29 years old. Beautiful and very well made! Only had to replace one track on my garbage drawer after about 15 years. We were so happy, we had their cabinets installed years later in our new addition. Enthusiastically would recommend their cabinets and service.

Pioneer Cabinetry makes great cabinets for residential kitchens and bathrooms as well as other areas of a house. I, as well as plenty of other people I know absolutely love our Pioneer Cabinetry cabinets.

I have owned pioneer cabnets now for 23 years. I have mever been happy with the constriction or the finish or the hardware. Year after year i have to constantly ajust the hinges. The doors dont close all the way or dont sit level. No one should have to tighten or ajust hinges several times a year. Plus many hinges actually broke. They looked like they were made of some kind of a crumbly metal mold, not real metal. Then thers the doot panels. Two othe warped so bad I cant close them at all and 4 of them actually cracked and split. I have replaced over half the cheap plastic drawer holders . Now the finish, three years after I had them installed the clear coat began to dissolve. Over thr years the finish got worse and worse. It was not meant to be in a kitchen because it cant handle the wear. I have Merrilit cabnets in my batrooms and never had any issues with them. I have to now refinish 32 cabnets.

It's great that they're a Michigan company and that they use Sherman Williams paint so they can match a door or something if it needs to be replaced. However, our experience with them has been very bad. When our ordered cabinets arrived several items were made incorrectly - drawers and doors that aren't even square, wine cabinet not square, the silverware drawer insert was backward, and more dings, dents, scratches, and deformations than i should need to list. Pioneer has owned up to this - the representative who stopped by said he was embarrassed by it, but the company has done very little to make amends. They're obviously re-making pieces which aren't even square, but are holding up construction and templating for the counter top by not delivering until 'everything is complete so they only need to make one shipment. Which means we are out a kitchen for a few more weeks. If we dinged up doors and whatnot and it was our fault, this logic would make sense. Unfortunately, when this all on them I would like to think that they'd be eager to help make things right. It's disappointing that they care so little about their customers even when they know they are at fault. If you're considering Pioneer, think about what kind of customer service another company could offer before writing the check. It may not be 100% likely that you'd have the same experience, but if by chance you did, would you want to also experience a frustrating and difficult customer service approach from a 'higher-end' manufacturer?

Have bought Pioneer cabinets for 3 years, a Michigan company that cares about every box it produces. Wouldn't go anywhere else.
