DO NOT purchase Kraftmaid Cabinets! They are poorly constructedand the employees of the company are NOT helpful. How ironic, I am having the same problems as the other people that submitted previous reviews. Interesting!!! My cabinets are only 3 years old, the paint is chipping off in various places on the actual structure and on the doors. I contacted Masco on 2 separate occasion and sent many pictures. Their response was my problem is a result from water damage. Excuse me? How does water damage and moisture occur on the top of a cabinet door and structure on overhead cabinets. They said they do not warranty prolonged moisture exposure. This is just a made up excuse to be free of having to repair their defective product, I believe they are well aware of their defective cabinets. BEWARE!

What a shame what this company and Home Depot put my sister through. Although she did not buy top-of-line cabinets, they should not be peeling within three years. The adjuster came out to her home and, unbeknownst to her at the time, only took pictures of her cat. They blamed the peeling on the cat peeing on cabinet. When confronted with the fact that the upper cabinets were peeling, they then said the cause was "moisture". When confronted with the fact that the old, 50 year old cabinets were on hand and they never had an issue with moisture, nor the original hardwood floors, they blamed the problem on moisture, cat and stove venting. When confronted with the fact that Home Depot installed a stove and vent at the time they installed the cabinets, they said we had to deal with the manufacturer, Masco. When confronted with the fact that the manufacturer put my sister on hold for a half hour and then hung up, and when she called back, they laughed at her and hung up again, Home Depot said it wasn't their problem.

My “Quality” Cabinets (by Masco) were installed in my brand new home in late 2012. Within a matter of months, the finish on the cabinets had literally eroded off the wood in any area where there is even a remote chance of contact with water. I think you’d agree that most kitchen and bathroom cabinets are built to withstand frequent contact with water and should last, not years, but decades. Not “Quality” Cabinets. Quotes to emphasize the ironic name. As evidence, see the photos attached to the Google profile. Because these cabinets were part of a new build, we weren’t given the choice of cabinet maker, much less any range of quality or upgrades. We just picked a color and hardware. So, we were at the mercy of the builder and installer to provide a quality, durable product. Unfortunately, we got burned. After living with gradual degradation of the cabinets for a couple of years, we finally sought a resolution. Granted, we should have acted quicker, but we had no idea who the maker was, nor who installed it, nor the terms of the warranty. How many people need to make a warranty claim on cabinets anyway? So, once we were able to track all of that down, we found out that the LINE within the “Quality” brand was only covered for a year, while the remainder of the “Quality” products are covered for five years. Hmmmm. That tells you all you really need to know about the materials and the workmanship of this line. Try to figure out where they're made by visiting their website. After hours of communication with the installer, the “account manager” for Masco Cabinetry (the parent company), a warranty rep at the company, and a mystery member of “upper management” named “Dave,” I was offered a can of touch-up stain and some basic instructions for sanding and finishing. Or, I had the option of buying new doors and fronts - the same junk we’ve been suffering with. Why would I do that? By the way, “Dave” wouldn’t even give me his title. He said he was part of the “leadership.” Then, when I asked again for his title, he said he was part of “management.” When I asked yet again, he then said he was the “management lead.” Nifty title - and total B.S. Go to Lowe’s.
