I agree with the review below. Wish we had gone with Deval. The experience was not a pleasant one with Plain English. Nice woodwork but poorest installation and lack of customer care :(

‘Pain English’ - definitely not the smooth experience you’d expect from a supposedly professional high-end kitchen company! Don’t be fooled by Plain English’s smart showroom or images of thier kitchens in glossy magazines or on Pintrest - they may look nice, but you can’t tell from them how long they took to complete, how many mistakes they made along the way or how little Plain English actually did. We paid fully for our (not inexpensive) kitchen back in June - they started fitting it in July, but it’s now November and we are still waiting for Plain English to complete it! They do make and fit the cupboards and order the appliances, but it’s down to you to arrange almost everything else (they don’t measure the room accurately, connect anything to the gas or electric, check that appliances work or even quality control the work done by their sub-contractors). You will need to arrange and pay for painters, plumbers and electricians to prepare everything then return several times to actually get everything working or repair the damage done by the fitters and stonemasons. Once they have your money, Plain English certainly aren’t in any hurry to get the job done properly and their lack of customer care is truly astonishing, they are old fashioned and painful to deal with. Take my advice, buy a property that already has a Plain English kitchen fitted or enjoy looking at pictures of them in the press, but if you’re considering a new kitchen use someone else!
