Awful

It’s been years later and I still have nightmares about my wedding. She is an awful human being and a scam artist.

Angela Schrempf (aka - Mia Angela/Mia Shark) is full of wild tales of deceit to cheat you out of your money. She claims that she is based out of Banff but the truth is that she is not even in the country. She moves from place to place and has changed her name several times over the years - huge red flag! She may plan SOME weddings, but those I have spoken with have told me that their wedding was a disaster because of her and she later sent them a huge bill with no explanation of the expenses and demanded payment for it - this is extortion! As for me, I lost thousands of dollars to this woman and she did not plan anything. She just took off with my money & I had to plan my entire wedding myself. Be warned - do not trust Angela/Mia from Sweet Occasions or Beginnings by Design (she is the owner of both companies). She has now launched Event 2. Google "Nuptial Nightmare - Rocky Mount Outlook" for more details. #MiaShark

It would have been cheaper do to everything our selves. She missed so many details on the day of the wedding. I will post a big long juicy review I just wanted to let anyone thinking of using her to run. I had to change my wedding date b/c she didn't book venues as soon as we gave them our $10000 deposit. I had to send out new save the dates like a month later. Don't even get me started on my wedding day. If I will the lottery I'm having a 2nd wedding to make up for the gong show.

This woman totally dropped the ball on my siblings wedding. She charges for services in her package that she does not supply and dismissed all of their inquiries into the wedding planning process (i.e., confirmations on photographers, venue bookings, ect). It would have been cheaper and more efficient for them to plan the entire thing themselves, not to mentioned far less stressful. After the wedding was over she refused to respond to any emails or phone calls. When my sibling posted a negative review on their FB page she immediately contacted them and threatened them with legal action in slander. She tried to intimidate them saying she had a "team of lawyers" that would come after them for all their income. Obviously my sibling knew this to be false (and has family members in the legal field who are able to provide advice) but others could be intimidated into silence or to pay more with such threats. I checked out reviews on this company on other websites and anyone who gives her a negative review is immediately attacked and she says the review is false. Do yourself a favour and avoid this company. You will be happier planning your elopement or wedding on your own and get more out of it.
