I am a family physician who sees patients with a myriad of eating concerns - from wanting to know how to plan healthy meals for active families, to weight loss, to eating disorders, and so on. I cannot recommend the Health Stand team highly enough. The dieticians at Health stand offer much more than just telling clients what they "should be eating". The counselling support that is SO key for being able to implement and maintain healthy eating habits, and being able to enjoy all types of foods, is what sets the Health Stand team apart. As well, the online course that Andrea has developed enables clients to access and put into practice those lifestyle changes, with the crucial education and support, from anywhere. In my opinion, overcoming any type of eating patterns that one struggles with is going to be a much more enjoyable and attainable journey with support from the Andrea and her amazing team.

Our family hired Health Stand initially because my son became a vegetarian when he was a teenager, and I was lost as to how to get enough nutrition in him. We ended up getting a great education in healthy eating for the whole family. The best part was the simple idea of a 1-2-3 meal. One carb, one protein, one fruit/veggie. I still hammer this through to my family all the time, and it was powerful enough to “stick”! Another thing is that eating is not about deprivation—it’s about widening your palette, trying MORE things, and still having the things you love ...it is all part of happiness and healthiness. Their office is cozy and not at all clinical or intimidating.
