In my opinion, Mr. Pender should have retired decades ago, and relies on whatever credibility he may have had in the long distant past to get work. Jim seems to put very little effort into his work, and whatever product he does deliver, is rife with mistakes, and poor quality summations of actual conversations. Further, his desire and passion for helping people seems jaded to me. In my opinion, he's another example of a professional exploiting a legal system which has no idea the quality of work he is currently producing. Be warned he charges an 'arm and a leg' and appears to not have the will/desire to get involved in matters that make his life difficult. However, he seems content in collecting a hefty paycheck and not making a call on any issue, but rather just sending the problem down the road. If you use Jim, I suggest you will be looking for another professional sooner than you think.

Jim Pender was recommended to us by my wealthy ex-spouse and his lawyer for a professional assessment. During our sessions with Jim, I found his behavior and approach to be deeply troubling. As a full-time working mother who dedicated all my time and resources to my family and household, including my spouse, I expected to receive unbiased and supportive guidance. However, my interactions with Jim left me feeling unsupported and marginalized. At one point, Jim questioned my ability to manage holiday dinners, implying that I should prepare ethnic dishes due to my background. It's important to note that ethnic foods can be time-consuming to prepare, often taking many hours or even days for a single individual, particularly a busy mother. Jim's comment seemed insensitive and added unnecessary pressure to an already stressful situation. What was most concerning about Jim's conduct was his apparent bias towards my ex male spouse. It was evident that my spouse had control over the finances and was willing to pay Jim whatever he wanted. This raised serious ethical concerns about Jim's objectivity and professionalism as a mental health professional. I have never encountered a licensed clinical social worker who so clearly aligned themselves with a troubling spouse. To make matters worse, instead of helping to improve the situation, the abuse escalated after our sessions with Jim Pender. The experience of attending these sessions was emotionally draining and left me feeling helpless. Coping with the aftermath of these sessions was nothing short of a nightmare. In summary, my experience with Jim Pender was deeply distressing and unhelpful. His biased approach, insensitivity to my circumstances, and questionable professionalism only exacerbated an already difficult situation. I would caution anyone seeking support in a similar situation to carefully consider their choice of therapist and ensure they receive the unbiased and compassionate help they truly need.

This "ethical gremlin" a direct quote from the ethics commission can be paid to report anything you need him to say. He is disregards court reports, he takes payment to abuse children and tries to deny accountability. This snivling little creep has no business dealing with children or families and should have his license revoked.

***DO NOT GO TO THIS PERSON*** This man is in the wrong field of work and should have retired years ago. He completely contradicts his contract to parents needing help. If anything he has made our situation worse by dismissing family violence and the most alarming is when I told him my children "didn't want to live anymore because of there dad" he emailed me to say he would charge me $400 to read this email.

Horrible judgement skill set and should have retired years ago. What happens in actual time is not reflected in reports accurately. Does not have the cognitive ability to do this work effectively or in a constructive manner. He often forgets the rules to the contracts that he himself writes and therefore does not abide by his own guidelines.
