What I gotta say is the receptionist was very polite, the forms were highly detailed. The one way mirror was a little intimidating at first but knowing there is more than one person helping me get to the bottom of my depression is great. Knowing that there is more than one suggestion for the issues surrounding my depression was greater and more encouraging than given a one word answer. The councillor that was helping me was empathetic, understanding, asked me the right questions and giving me the right suggestions. I recommend this for anyone who needs to seek help right away. Who needs someone to talk to asap.

Oh boy. Don’t come here for couples counselling. In a small way I’m grateful. The experience helped me end a terrible relationship. And by terrible I mean, he was actually diagnosed with Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Now, this was an extremely abusive relationship in many way and we came in after the abuse became more physical. He taunted me in front of several people, and in the end when I walked out the abuse had never been worse. He walked out empowered and now I have spinal arthritis from an injury I obtained as a result. When I tried to identify the abuse in the session, I was told that sometimes abuse is ‘perseived’. But maybe, sometimes, you should believe the person trying to talk to you. Maybe, just maybe, identifying abusers and the abused should be a normal thing here. Bad advice, horrible experience, but in a sense his new heightened ego formally removed me from a bad place. Just wow. WOW.

Had a horrible experience here. I was laughed at by people behind a two-way mirror for saying I have seen 5 or 6 counselors in the past few years, due to not finding one I was completely comfortable with. Then, I was laughed at again by the woman, whom I was speaking with directly, for saying some friends of mine, who struggled with mental health issues, were effecting me negatively. I was then told by this same woman to just get rid of all the people with any mental health concern from my life. This was the worst "counselling session" of my life. Talk about demonizing and stigmatizing mental illness. This experience happened a number of years ago, so those individuals may not still be working here. It shocks me that it would seem some people would get a degree aimed at helping those with mental and emotional issues and than use it, instead, to make fun of those struggling with mental illness. Truly disturbing.

Access to free counseling when you need it! Works great for when you can't wait for an appointment with your regular counselor or if you are just having 'one of those days'. You don't get the same counselor every time but so far all of the ones I have had have been great!

I went here to get a consultation for my child. They have good resources.
