Horrible councellor. She lied to wcb. I got hit by a van as a pedestrian doing my flagging job. I went to resiliency councelling and then was told I had ptsd and needed more extensive therapy. I went through a 4 hr appt with a psychologist and she said I would be definately be getting a block of councelling sessions. I was sent to cheryl. She went over what she "planned to do " over and over. Doing nothing. Just repeating herself. I'd come in with another fear or issue that had arose during the time since the previous appointment. She again said ok we will help you. I left her due to her not doing anything but discussing what she planned on doing. EVERYTIME I WENT THERE. When asked when will we be actually starting sonething? and shouldn't I be taking home like work sheets or something? , her answer would be I needed to be out of your head. Whatever that meant. I told her several times I do not know what she means. We got a second block of sessions because in the first block of 16! She sent home 2 worksheets for me to look at. On the 3rd session of the second block of 16 sessions I basically begged her to just start the cognitive. Just start something. She planned on a couple of treatment techniques and so I said let's just start one. Her answer " we will I need you out of your head". AGAIN. I booked another session. I went home and immediately called my case worker and left a full long explanation stating I needed a councellor who did something. We were wasting time with cheryl. Cheryl still had no knowledge that I wasn't even coming back. I never told her. I just left saying see you next week. Wcbsaid she needed to get a report from cheryl who took her sweet time preparing it. In the report she said that the reason I left was that councelling was causing me too much anxiety and it hurt my back. Omg. What the hell. A full complete fabrication. A lie. She never knew I was not coming back until wcb asked her for a report. This lady outright lied to wcb to cover her own butt DO NOT USE THIS LADY. SHE USES YOU AS A MEANS OF DRAGGING OUT WCB BLOCKS TO MAKE MONEY. GIVING YOU ZERO TREATMENT
