I booked sessions with Dr. Humphries during a very difficult time in my life in which I was experiencing high levels of anxiety and inability to focus. I was expecting a sympathetic ear, explanations as to why I am this anxious and unable to concentrate and obviously some medical assistance. But unfortunately this how I was treated by this doctor, he made some insulting remarks about myself and my country that, I assume, no one would expect in a therapeutic setting, or even from any civilized person, although he was fully aware that some of my anxieties are of social nature that would make it difficult for me to cope with such insults and would normally be triggered due to such remarks. I was perplexed by his unprofessional approach in dealing with his client who is paying him a ton of money in order to get help. Aside from his inconsiderate approach, he seemed incompetent to some extent, as in relation to my inability to concentrate, he stated that what I was dealing with was a side effect of anti depressants, in spite of the fact that these concentration difficulties began few years after stopping anti depressants, and the fact that I did not consume anti depressants for a long time. In the process of reaching his conclusion, he did not bother himself to check when these concentration difficulties commenced, what was going on in my life that could have led to such problems, he did not ask for any documents, he did not do any reliable tests apart from a short ADHD test, to which very similar tests are available online for free, but nonetheless he was curious enough in my affairs to almost have his nose inside of my wallet when I was paying the fees, apparently to assess my socioeconomic status. He prescribed some medication that, according to him, balance out what he seemed to think to be the impact of consuming anti depressants. The medicine he prescribed worsened my existing anxiety and although I made it clear to him of this impact, he did not change the medication, he merely decreased the dose which still worsened my anxiety. I had to stop the medication without consulting him in order to stop its impact on my anxiety. I was informed later on by another psychiatrist that I am intolerant to the medication. Another issue that was of relevance of the problems I was dealing with was something as severe as dissociation, that for some reason although he is a psychiatrist he did not notice, which normally exacerbates with anxiety that was worsened by the medication he prescribed for me. Do not risk your mental health.

Dr Williams was particularly thorough in his assessment & I was especially grateful for the detailed explanation he gave on the causes & management options for Adult ADHD. I now have a much deeper understanding of how the condition has impacted my life and I appreciate the reasons for the particular treatment he recommended - and look forward to benefiting from it. Excellent service - thoroughly recommended.

The time with Ahi has benefited me in my professional and personal life. The positive outcomes from the time spent on my own development is truly rewarding.

Therapist cancelled appointment 20 minutes before start time, by email, so that I didn’t see it until the nobody answered the door. Clearly I’d be travelling at this time. Maybe a call would be more sensible. Called the office and the girl was extremely unsympathetic and told me that Sophie-Claire was unavailable. She never returned my call. I called twice more later that evening and both times the girl pretended not to hear me and hung up. The fact that a person wants to see a therapist in the first place indicates you’re not in a great place anyway, this has impacted negatively on my state of mind and you should be ashamed. I feel absolutely finished thanks to you. Update: just get a text, at 7.35pm to advise me that my 5pm appt today is cancelled!!!

My experience with Dr. Ahi Wheeler was life changing and eye opening. She is a wonderful therapist who gently helps you look inwards in a meditative and reflective way. With Ahi’s help and guidance I was able to learn how to understand myself with more compassion. My work with her has stayed with me every single day since our sessions have ended. A truly exceptional Doctor!
