This guy is absolute fraud! Took $1050 from me in advance to move my stuff. Then hired another company to move our stuff. He never forwarded the money to the loving company and asked them to ask me for money. If you ever see him or talk to him just tell him to F-off and walk away. He is shameless who took my money with out any accountability. I guess I learned my lesson as well.

Date: 31 st Jan 2014, TIME: 7.30 AM .Mover service from Southdale to LAUREL, EDMONTON. The workers were weak/inexperienced/sick. only 2 workers worked from 7:30 till 8.00 am instead of promised 3 workers. Then the owner who was rude and abusive asked me why am I, not helping the workers! When I refused, he started helping the workers but the team was extremely slow & unprofessional in their work. They spent 3 hours just to load the truck(normally loading & Offloading would have only taken about 2 hours including the travel time) The owner even insisted on getting the money ($250) in advance, which I gave, but to my shock they stopped the work immediately on getting the money and asked for another $210 to start the work and that too in advance. When I refused to budge they first threatened to throw all of my stuff outside the building. When I refused to budge to the owners arm twisting tactics, He left with truck full of my stuff & his two workers. When I called on his cell, he asked me not to disturb as he is busy serving his other customer. When I warned him about reporting to the police , he took it very casually. Ultimately I had no option but to go to the police. Unfortunately the police were not of much help. They just called the owner on his cell and then I asked me to settle the matter through mutual agreement as they cannot intervene, as I had no written contract with the mover and they thought that it is just a billing/price dispute civil matter. Finally I had no option but to go to his place and pay him another $140(payed in advance)to get them to work. On getting the money he asked his weaklings to offload my stuff to my new home. But while offloading, the workers damaged the walls of my staircase area as well as broke my tall lamp, night table and damaged my new dressing table. On seeing the damage I was forced to ask them to keep everything on the main floor. After they left, me and my wife had to lift all the heavy stuff and keep the furniture in various rooms both upper floor and basement. I ended up paying $390 for the worst mover service ever for a 2 hour job which actually wasted my whole day( AROUND 4.00 PM). I request everyone NOT to give any business to this A & M mover run by a lunatic called Madhavan.PLEASE DO NOT USE A & M MOVERS OF EDMONTON AND SUFFER LIKE ME.

Worst moving company EVER. They are nothing but cheats and scam artists. I had hired them to move my belongings from Calgary to Edmonton. Everything was pre packed and just had to be loaded onto the truck and driven up. I asked for a tractor trailer but they said they couldn't provide one. I asked for a 29 ft truck at least. They said they would do this for a flat rate of $2,000. When they arrived at my door in Calgary they had a 26 ft uhaul rental. The size of the truck was not enough to accomdate all my belongings which I already told them. They ended up renting a trailer to fit the last of my stuff. My wife agreed to a new total of $2,500 because of the trailer. While loading the truck they damaged the siding of my house in Calgary and when asked about it they began swearing at my wife. The people buying my house had a home inspection completed several days prior which showed NO damage to any part of the exterior of the home so I knew it was the movers. When they arrived in Edmonton they demanded $3,000 instead of the $2,500 we had agreed on. They told me if I did not pay then they would take the truck somewhere without my knowledge till I paid up. They had also shown up with a minivan and loaded several boxes and items into that which they had disapeared with. They told me if I want the contents of the van I pay the money they were extorting me for or I would never see my stuff again. While unloading they ripped a $1,500 memory foam mattress, damaged my computer desk so it's no longer able to support any weight, lost the bolts that hold my bed frame together so my bed is now useless, and damaged the wall of my staircase. I have photographic evidence taken before they were there that shows no marks to any wall in the stair case proving they did in fact damage it. When I asked for their insurance they refused to provide it. I have contacted the RCMP and will be pursing legal action against this company to reclaim my damages. After I paid them and got the last of my stuff out of their minivan they tried to leave but the minivan died in my driveway. They tried to boost it and their van nearly caught on fire! DO NOT USE AM MOVERS! They are scam artists, and cheats.
