I had the most positive experience using Joeys movers. I had a large work table to move, very heavy, made of cast iron. It had to get out of an apartment, down stairs and then out to a warehouse near O’hare. I had originally arranging moving with another larger company but they cancelled last minute and I really needed it out that day because the lease was up. I called Joey after a recommendation from a friend of mine and they could fit me in later in that same day. They were punctual and professional and got the job done. The price was fair and the I am very happy with the work they did. I highly recommend Joeys movers!

They just did a move for us. Awesome crew. Super honest and hard working. They don't stop until the job is done. Very good guys. Highly recommend.

Moving is never enjoyable. Compound that with the likes of Joey’s Movers and it’s owners (Joey Sr. And his wife) and you’ll never want to move again. They charge a premium price and provide an inferior service. They moved our belongings and treated our valuables like they were taking out the garbage. Worse yet, there insurer denied our claim. Obviously, our before and after photos, along with our word, were not enough to indicate the employees at Joey’s are better suited for demolition than moving families valuables. And Joey, Sr. What a piece of work. I tried talking with him, but he constantly interrupted and cut me off. To top it off, he hung up on me not once but twice. Now he doesn’t even answer my calls or return my messages. Unless your a family member of Joey’s and need a favor, I can’t fathom why you would want this guy and crew moving you and your valuables!! Stay away, stay far far away.

My husband and I are both 72 year old and have moved several times in the past twenty years, with mixed experience. Neither of us has ever written a review before. We were inspired to write this one because of the totally positive experience we had with Joey's Movers. Before choosing Joey's we interviewed and obtained estimates from three other moving companies. Our decision to go with Joey's was based on two things: 1) the estimator, Joseph, who is in the owners' family, and 2) the thorough and professional way the company presents itself. Price was not the determining factor, but it didn't hurt that Joey's bid was also the most competitive. I was extremely nervous about this particular move and Joseph really listened to my concerns. He gave me confidence that I could trust his company with our possessions. He pointed out some simple steps I could take to minimize my effort in preparing for the move and he even suggested some ways to save money! Water damage to our downtown condo forced the move and meant that we worked with two teams of young men - one to move out and one to move in. All four of the men involved were extremely efficient, professional, careful, and unerringly polite. David and Juan, who worked the "move-in" on the last day, were a terrific team taking the time to position rugs and furniture in just the right place. David had also worked the "move-out", so he knew where things went and how to reassemble a heavy, antique breakfront that my husband and I were particularly concerned about. This moving company is a first class operation and we highly recommend them. Pat and John Anderson
