A lot of the staff hard-working and dedicated The owner invests a lot of time and money and effort into his company In need of a much larger warehouse and yard space

I'm giving two stars because the owner and the bookkeeper seem like nice people. I hired this company to move some things for me and they did serious damage to my items. The worker at first denied there was any damage but after a short discussion, he agreed it was damaged. Then he blamed me. I wasn't looking for compensation or restitution, all I wanted was an apology but I didn't get that. What was most problematic is how they packed my things. My kitchen contents were tossed into containers. Cleaning products mixed with food and contents from multiple areas put into random boxes. None of the items such as food or cleaners were placed right side up to prevent leaks. It is so disorganized to unpack. It was very upsetting and disrespectful. I don't think I'll ever trust any moving company to pack for me.

Reliable and timely - they facilitated the end of our cross-Canada move. Obliged further by leaving the truck over-night ... thank you.

Worst moving company EVER. Promise the world, all they do is send a bunch of idiots to pack up your personal belongings and wreck the lot. SO MUCH DAMAGE hard to know where to begin. Ill equipped, ill trained, and not up to the job. Hardly anything made the trip without being broken, or damaged, despite all the promises and rubbish you read on their website and the obligatory ' lip service' they pay to themselves telling you how great they are. Yes, great at wrecking your possessions, PLUS they had no proper communication for the delivery, what a sham that was. Don't waste your money if doing long haul, get a proper company in. These weren't cheap, but they were cheap rubbish. Would not have them move rubbish to the landfill !!! DREADFUL !

THIS COMPANY DISGUSTS ME. Following yet another fight with this company via the BBB, we are shocked at the depths Bekins Moving & Storage will sink to. Not once have they honoured anything they promised us. Here is a list from beginning to end of what they promised and did not deliver: 1. The initial estimate for weight of goods was half of what the actual weight was. They then accused us of 'hiding belongings in a crawl space' when the Bekins Rep dropped by to assess. This was not true, and we actually sold some furniture after the Rep dropped by (sofa, table and chairs), and therefore the estimate SHOULD have been on the high side. Instead it was half of what it should have been. 2. The Rep promised us one free month of storage. After our belongings were unloaded and stored, we were billed for the first 6 weeks right away. We had to fight via the BBB to get our first free month as promised which we did get after going to battle. 3. The Rep quoted us $1 per Ib of goods stored. When we phoned to try and add insurance, we were told it was $1.50 per Ib! Again, we had to fight with them in order to get what was promised. 4. After only a few months of storage and feeling VERY UNEASY about this company and the safety of our goods, we decided to move our belongings out of their facility. We were quoted $30.50 per hour, per worker for unloading our goods from the vaulted storage. When we arrived at the facility we were instantly billed by weight and not per worker per hour. ALL WORK WAS COMPLETED WITHIN 3 HOURS from start to finish. Therefore, we should have been charged $237 plus tax. Instead we were charged $877.80. 5. Bekins promised that our belongings would be stored in Vaults. When we arrived at the warehouse to unload, we found our belongings being stored on the warehouse floor. They were packed tight in the corner of the warehouse (NOT IN VAULTS AS PROMISED), and close to the roller door which was not damp proof at all. We also had a rocking house that was off to the side of the warehouse all on its own. At our initial meeting with the Bekin's Rep, we asked if the belongings would be stored in vaults and we were assured that they would be. We again confirmed this during two further telephone calls to Bekin's before signing the contract. We were shocked to find that all of our belongings were being stored loose on the warehouse floor. The storage provided was not weather or rodent proof. We made it crystal clear to the Bekin's Rep before signing that we wanted VAULTED STORAGE. 6. Multiple items have been damaged. It is obvious from the condition of some of the items that they were not treat with care. Some very expensive pieces of furniture are broken, scratched and have pieces missing. On the day we moved out, we caught one of the movers standing on top of some of our boxes and using them as a means of climbing up to the higher boxes to pass them down. And one corner cabinet that was brought over to Canada from the UK was damaged by the roller door. In summary, Bekins talks the talk at the estimate stage BUT DO NOT HONOUR ANYTHING THEY PROMISE. They are very good at assuring you and promising the earth, and appearing professional. But once they have your goods, or business, they do what they like and lie through their teeth to get out of it. They turn everything around and try to blame the customer. Save your self a lot of time, energy and heart ache and use someone else. I guarantee you won't find worse.
