Two Small Men With Big Hearts - Kamloops

I want to start by saying everyone we had contact with from the movers to the owners were nice. They helped us out very last minute. The two young guys worked their butts off and took great care of our belongings. The problem we had all stemmed from a lack of communication between the out of town owner and the local person in charge. I won’t get into details but just make sure you confirm everything you agreed to with the movers when they arrive. Everything from price per hour to timelines so there are no surprises. Our simple 45 minute pack, 45 min unpack + 2 hours of commute time turned into a two day ordeal which spiralled into a very stressful move for us when hiring them was supposed to reduce that stress. Edited to include some details based on the owners response. - we were quoted $120 an hour but halfway through the move they told us it was $150 because they decided to bring 3 men instead of 2. -we were told they would be there at noon, then they called and said the next day, then changed to 4pm then they showed up at 1:30pm. You could imagine how stressful this was on us when we canceled the uhaul we had booked for this company and we couldn’t go back at that point. - we were told they had a four hour minimum which was fine for us as we knew the move was an hour unload, an hour load and two hours of commuting. It wasn’t until they were finished loading that they told us that the guy had to pick up his son so couldn’t unload that day and needed to store our stuff in his van and unload in the morning. Ok again, really not ideal and again not mentioned up front but have no choice but to move forward at that point. Then we were told we had to pay a four hour minimum for EACH day. Yes, even though the move was over two days at their (after the fact) request, not ours. I complained to the owner and he then agreed to reduce it to two hours the next day, still not fair service but nothing I could do. Then they forgot to get me to sign paperwork and tried telling me it was my responsibility to drive 3 hours round trip from Vernon to Kamloops to sign it. Even after all this, I’d tried to give a fair review. We were not some victims who were desperate for their help. We were paying customers and didn’t get treated very well. Very unfortunate. Please make sure what you agree to with the owner is on paper and review it with the front line staff before they start. Id like to think this was a series of miscommunications but based on no accountability, I’m not sure that’s what happened here.

So very impressed with the care they put into moving my home. I couldn't be happier. My husband and I have never used movers before and I'm so glad we picked Two small men with Big hearts. They moved us from our place in Monte Lake with 3 feet of snow on the ground to by the airport with no one problem. I was worried to have people I don't know move all my big heavy expensive solid wood furniture but I was very impressed. Would definitely use again and recommend this company to everyone.

Fantstic movers. The best I've ever used! It was nice to use movers who actually cared about my things. The workers were courteous and so helpful. The cost was way less than the last movers i used who didnt even put blankets on my furniture and they damaged a bunch of stuff. I will definitely recommend Kamloops Two Small Men With Big Hearts to my family and friends. You wont be disappointed!

From the original interview to the final box being moved in at our destination, we were comletely satisfied with the owner and crew. They were hard working courteous young men. Very efficient in placing everything and assembly as needed. They were very careful with our belongings nothing broken or damaged. I would highly recommend this company for your next move.

Worst moving experience, took 9 1/2 hrs to move 5 km. Charged over twice the quote. Small 2 bdrm plus den house. Bad move.
