We were estimated approximately 1500. 00 for the move and were given a bill for 4500.00 at the end of the evening. The move realistically did not start until 3 hours after they showed up, which was late and short manned to begin with. They showed up to the new house with the truck not even full and began unpacking and going through the newly renovated house without any flooring protection as they had left it at the old house. We then went back to the house the next morning to complete our move on our own only to find a desk that had been wrapped up and lying on its back with a broken gable piece which now renders the desk unusable. Nobody said anything or acknowledged it to us. We will now be starting a claim to try and get restitution for the desk, which is 1200.00 new but am very doubtful we will get anything. Although in the end, we did not pay the 4500.00 as billed, it was a process that was time consuming and stressful on top the stress of dealing with moving.

I would like to share my positive experience with 2 Burley Men. My initial phone contact answered all of my questions regarding the moving process and related costs and then was able to book me in for my requested dates. My move was in several parts due to timing. I was able to pay to have my belongings stored for the month until my new place was ready. The movers both times were very professional and efficient. They were polite, personable and kept me updated about their progress and the process. I would happily recommend them!

If i could rate this company 0 stars i would. First off communication with company when booking the move was horrendous and i had to hound them to get information once the move was booked as to what date the movers would be coming as they give you a 2 day window, but had to coordinate with our building. we were hounded by the movers to arrive at our destination early to be able to receive our things, even though we had arranged the date for drop off previously and had confirmed multiple times. Our stuff was transferred from the truck to storage then put on another truck to be delivered to us. During all the transfers of our stuff they lost 3 boxes a rug and couch legs (we were unaware these were even removed in the first place). As well as our expensive TV being fully smashed. Communicating with both the movers, offices and claims department has been horrible. I have sent multiple emails and called with far and few between replies. Before the move i had asked about high ticket items such as TVS being packaged, and they said they could do that no problem. upon looking into getting money back because of the smashed TV we were told we had needed to purchase a box for the TV from them for it to be covered, why was i not told this in the first place PRIOR to the TV being smashed? Needless to say we are so unhappy with the service provided and will never use this company again, and will warn everyone we can against using this company as well. They clearly did not care about our possessions that we had trusted them with, and were incredibly difficult to deal with. We have also still not received our missing boxes/couch legs/rug and likely will never see them.

Overall it’s been a disappointing experience on many fronts. From the start the communication has been poor and it is still a reoccurring theme. It has been us chasing them down for information instead of them providing us with information on a timely manner. We had agreed that our things will get to us by Sunday, July 3rd, give or take a couple of days. When they picked up our things to bring it to us, they said they can deliver our things a day earlier, we were thrilled. By that evening, an excuse was used, and they told us that they will stick to the original date which we were fine with. On the day of delivery, we were informed that we wouldn’t be getting our stuff until Monday, July 4th by 4 PM. I made arrangements to work from home in order to greet them when they arrived. The time had come and we hadn’t heard from them, we waited 2 hours in case they were stuck in traffic before calling, they assured us that they were on their way and will be at our place by 8 PM. It was 8 PM and once again we heard nothing from them, we waited an hour before calling and they said they were an hour away. We were deceived by this information as the truck did not arrive until 11:15 PM on a Monday night. It was a crew of 2 with one of the the guy’s being very helpful and the other was unfit to work as he was high. When untying things from the truck our furniture came crashing down, I saw him drop our furniture, when lifting or trolling our things he kept hitting our walls and scraping the handles on the staircase. He made so much noise that the neighbours complained about the noise level. Essentially, we were concerned for our things that we decided to pitch in with the unloading, it was a good thing we did because they would of finished a lot later, with our help we finished at 2 AM. I communicated all of this to 2 Burley Men, I even sent them photos of our damaged things and the damaged done to our new home. I did get a response from them but I am not satisfied with their response and amount they offered for this terrible experience. I rejected their offer and asked them to do better, I am now waiting for a response, and hopefully it is a better one otherwise I will take this to the Better Business Bureau.

The crew I had were awesome!!! Charlie Shelby and Bryson were very friendly and professional. They worked steadily and were very respectful of my property. They worked fast and furiously They also met and exceeded my expectations with the whole move taking only 5.5 hours! I would definitely use 2Burly men again and highly recommend them to anyone needing to move!
