To cut to the chase, this was the most bizarre business interaction that I have ever had. We needed to move a piano out of a home that was sold and to be transferred to the new owners the day after the scheduled date of the piano move. Over the phone, my wife was asked repeatedly for the same simple information (like address and how many steps there were from the piano to the driveway). The piano was located in the basement, with 10-12 steps up to the doorway and another two steps up to the driveway. The crew showed up in a small Toyota truck. When the truck crossed the small threshold to the driveway, the entire canopy shook violently. The driver was there with two more able-bodied helpers. After climbing out from his little truck, I heard him say something about "two steps" to his helpers. I kindly told them that there were more than two steps to the piano." Well, that was it. The man grumbled something to his helpers and climbed back into his jalopy. One of the helpers told me that there were only supposed to be two steps. As proof, he dug out a scrap piece of paper with "2D" scribbled on it. The helpers climbed into the truck, and they pulled away, leaving me in the lurch! Another piano-moving company came to our aid, but we were charged a premium for booking at the last minute. In the end, it was a blessing that our prized piano was carefully loaded into a 5-tonne truck instead of being put in the back of a broken-down little truck.

Unfortunately we did not have a good experience with this company. I was purchasing a piano from a woman who was moving out of her apartment and flying overseas the following day. I was parked on the street when this crew arrived in a very small unbranded Toyota pickup and made their way up the 4 flights of stairs to her apartment. Despite my poor first impression I thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. On my way up, I quickly took a look into the back of their truck and wasn't quite sure how they had planned on safely securing the expensive upright piano for the journey to my home. I met them at the top of the stairs and they already had the piano on the dolly... I asked them 1 (one) simple and legitimate question - "How do you plan to secure the piano in your truck"? Well that was it... swear to God, they stopped dead in their tracks and said they were done - apparently that one question was one question too many. They refused to move it any further and were ready to actually leave it in the hallway - they couldn't get out of there fast enough saying that we were "too much trouble". Meanwhile the poor woman who had to fly out the next day bursts into tears in absolute disbelief of what is happening. They were gruff, rude and obviously very unprofessional. All they had to do was answer the question and hopefully give me at least an ounce of confidence or assurance that they had things well in hand. Nope... that was that... off they went. Fortunately they put the piano back into the apartment - all told from arrival to departure they were there about 8 minutes. Good thing I didn't ask them about insurance or the qualifications of their crew who by the way looked like they may have just been picked up from a GO Work Centre. I have to believe that we really dodged a bullet after their bizarre behavior. That was our experience... hope yours is better...

I requested a quote for moving an upright piano from Surrey to Chilliwack. They called me back and told me it "wasn't going to be cheap" and I should look for a smaller piano. I asked for a quote, not their opinion. They don't seem to be looking for business but instead of upsetting me it would have been a smarter move for a company to just claim they were booked all the way through May. Looking at the other reviews I think I am not missing out. Edit: Thank you for your response, and I appreciate the effort. But he didn't even give me a quote before he told me to look for a smaller one, and even after I told him I wanted this piano because it was old with ivory keys and reminded me of one that I had to give up several years ago, he kept telling me I should look for smaller ones, and I had to ask again before he even gave me an estimate. Thanks for taking the time to get back to me but I still think it's not a good way for a business to talk to people who are requesting a quote.

Excellent job moving our huge old upright piano. Tricky with the stairs, but all went well. This company moved my piano into my house 26 years ago and yesterday moved it to our new home. I would highly recommend Max's service to anyone. Debbie in Langley May 2016

Had booked an appointment for my piano to be moved. Two phone calls made; the second of which was to confirm the time and to reiterate details. Did not show up. Phoned to ask why; gentleman with accent (with whom I had the two phone calls) said that he had no recollection and that "maybe" it was his fault. I had told him that it was "certainly" his fault. Is this a sign of an aging memory? Poor organization? Regardless, very disappointed.
