I recently used Student Movers for a local move and I couldn't be happier. Everyone from the administrative staff I spoke with on the phone to the two men completing the move were courteous, efficient, and knowledgeable. Each staff member already had answers to questions I didn't even know I should ask and quoted a reasonable price (which was then upheld). I cannot stress enough how respectful the two men moving our belongings were, their consideration of being present precisely at the time given by phone, and finished within the two hour period needed. I especially appreciated the follow-up phone call a few hours after the move was completed inquiring about the quality of service. Thank you Student Movers for a wonderful moving experience and I look forward to working with you in the future! (I'd like to add a quick side note as well that this is the first public review I have ever left. Their service was that exceptional.) Thank you again!

Damaged several items. They dropped a vase on my glass table, shattering it, then lied to the claims manager about the incident. In addition, they damaged my 60 in. tv. Which is now a complete loss including the geek squad plan that was purchased with it. I filed a claim and they completely dismissed any and all damages. I took pictures of how they poorly loaded the truck and didn't tie anything down. Also they are not students. If you use this company beware and take pictures of all your items before they touch it because they will break it and have no problem lying. Also check your stuff before they leave!

How many ways can I praise them?! A really complicated move completed on schedule and within the fee schedule and enough manpower to make it flow smoothly. Rich Giglio came out and gave estimate and determined how the move should be made and assigned a cracker-jack fab crew of 4 that kept up the momentum for 7.5 hours! Small breaks but didn't even take lunch in order to finish by deadline hour. The crew captain mapped out a strategy for going from large two-bedroom into one-bedroom within the same building with no elevator. It required very precise timing of what could be moved first, then next and meantime, utilizing hallways for immediate stacking without impacting my neighbors. They got everything in place in new space and did it with good humor and grace even though many fragile boxes had to be hand-carried, heavy boxes of library books and cumbersome antiques that needed careful handling. Nothing broken. I appreciate the professionalism of the crew and a stellar captain who took his job seriously and had the respect of his fellow crew members. Thank you all for making this difficult move as seamless as it could be and keeping within the budget. Will recommend without hesitancy.

I used Student Movers for moves in the past and was always content with their services. However, my fiance and I had a big move this past week and we could not be more disappointed. The first 2 hours, the moving team was working quickly & efficiently. Then everything slowed down. The moving team took almost an hour for lunch when they told us it would only be 30 minutes. Additionally, they left some things that were supposed to be moved to the new place at the old place. In the end, our total cost was 50% over the estimated cost. When I called Student Movers to discuss this extreme discretion in the amount due (especially since the moving team began wasting my time only 2 hours into the move), I was given a hard time about following up on this matter and was given attitude about everything. Honestly, I thought the point of using a company's services over & over again was that you were treated well for loyalty. If you're considering using Student Movers, I'd advise against it.
