friendly people you need a truck they got all kinds of em.decent service but i would definitely do my own inspection.

Jun 16, 2014
I rented a truck from the Sudbury location on Friday and returned it on Sunday morning. Initially I was happy since I was getting a free upgrade from the 16' that I had reserved to the 26' which would make moving much easier and quicker. Unfortunately, the truck was plagued with problem which included breakdowns, requiring the service vehicle to boost the truck which delayed me 1.5 hrs on the morning of my move, a horribly loose suspension, broken box panels, broken box gate and a finicky drivers side door lock. I am very disappointed with the truck I got. In 19 km, I burned $27.49 of diesel because I had to frequently leave the truck idling in order for the battery not to drain bellow 10 V in order for it to start up again. This morning when I went into the local office to discuss the issues that I had over the weekend, I was given my mileage for free, which was $6, and a free upgrade on my next rental. I am not satisfied by these compensations. This is not only the worst service I have ever gotten from Ryder but it was also the worst truck I had ever gotten, not only from Ryder but of all the trucks I have rented over the years; which includes U-Haul, Enterprise and Discount. Ryder used to be my first call when needing a truck but I intend to take my business elsewhere in the future.

Overall a very positive experience, new truck, clean and great staff. I will rent again from this company.
