One of the packers came drunk at 8:00 a.m. Not buzzed--inebriated. One of the movers the next day was angry. Never asked him for anything he just kept volunteering unsolicited comments in front of his supervisor who just didn't care and kept packing. I was single and alone with my child and they knew where I was moving to so I did not complain; but you would do well to pay any fool off the street to get a truck and move your stuff. They did not put things where I asked them and were generally unprofessional. Also my child's piggy bank was missing. Classy. In my opinion they still owe me money--will never work with any of associated companies AGAIN.

When looking for a cross country mover (MN->ME), I didn't want to go with the the shady company I hired out of New Jersey to move to MN; they were unprofessional and had no customer service. I scoured the internet for a company I felt good about. I called everyone listed under "cross-country movers" and when I got a slightly higher, though not desperately so, quote from Red's, I asked Jeff the owner, "Why should I hire your company instead of any of these other movers?" His response sold me: he understood that often people get scammed by large-scale movers, that their belongings weren't treated with respect, that they never knew if they were dealing with someone on the up-and-up. He guaranteed me that Red's was not that way, personally. That sold me--how often does anyone care as much as about a one-bedroom apartment's worth of belongings as much as they do for a huge business or house? When Chet came to do the visual survey, he was so kind, polite, and respectful. I believed that Red's would deliver what was promised and they did! My move went incredibly smoothly! From the three men who came and professionally boxed up my precious painting to a delicately handling a very expensive piece of medical equipment, the pick up went quickly and easily. Even better was when my stuff was delivered on time as promised! Two men came and even restacked my stuff once they moved it into my new apartment to make sure it was out of the way. Honestly, I recommend this company--I felt burned by my previous movers, but Red's nailed their promised and earned my trust.

Not only were some of my belongings damaged upon arrival at my new residence but some personal items were stolen! My walls had been freshly painted but I counted 7 marks and/or gouges on the walls as a result of their moving furniture in.
