Don’t make a terrible mistake as I and over 90 others have! Every story is the same. Missing pieces, damaged beyond repair. This is not a moving company. I believe they make you pay and then that is the end of your belongings. Read the reviews. Better business has over 90 complaints.

Used Kingsway 14+ months ago for a move from Toronto to Montreal. Paid twice the quote and there was no way for me to check the invoice was correct. Every second item was broken and/or smashed. It took them 7 hours to pack up a 1 bedroom 1 person apt. - The point of this late review is I have now moved again within the Montreal area and the movers here (Regent Transport) were magnificent. They took 2 hours to pack up my things and 2 hours to unpack. Not one tiny item broken. Fast and efficient and quote was exactly what they said it would be. Hail Mary.

A few years ago I booked Kingsway to move used furniture from Calgary to Regina. I cancelled the order and booked a different company. Kingsway forgot to cancel the order and then the confusion began. Without realizing the seller was receiving calls from 2 different moving companies. The moving company I selected was scheduled for 9 am. Kingsway called and said they would be a few hours late. The seller had to change his schedule and went to work. The moving company went to the house at 9am and there was no one there - so they had to go for a break as there were no other pick ups. I had gone to great lengths to make it painless as the man I was buying from was a busy oil executive. I called Kingsway and asked for an apology and a small credit for the inconveniences (I was thinking $100 or so). Liz McClane took the call and was rude and said "you mean you want me to give you money for a move we did not do????". She was a typical hard fast talker. I never did get an apology and the move almost did not happen at all. They seem a rough and sketchy company. And Ms McClane, a manager at the time should be fired.

Long distance move Ottawa to Hamilton this past week. The only reason I’ve even given them 1* is because the guys in Ottawa were polite and tried to take care of our stuff however the quoted price doubled the day before they showed up and then there were extra charges the day of the move to wrap furniture etc. The 2nd half of the move in Hamilton was a nightmare! Furniture scratched etc., wouldn’t put beds back together, wouldn’t put anything other than big furniture items in the rooms in which they belonged, just piled them up in the living room, left one big item in the driveway because it wouldn’t fit and they wouldn’t take it apart. Didn’t unwrap anything so now we have heavy plastic to dispose of, and the guys were disgusting! Stunk to high heaven, used the bathroom without asking and peed all over the floor! I’ve never experienced anything like this before. This company should not be in business. Have tried several times to contact them since the move but they won’t return calls or emails. Just disgusting!

Great customer service from the rep however the actual move was absolutely horrible. No regard for your belongings what’s so ever even if you packed them well enough they will still find a way to destroy it. Didn’t take the extra insurance as their description says fast reliable service which I assume would make sense..professional moving company = professional move. Nope. Broke $1000.00 chariot not to mention probably another $4,000.00 worth of other belongings. Offered $50.00. If you want your move done by professionals with integrity, avoid this company at all costs.
